Canterbury forward Rhyse Martin has been granted a released effective immediately to join English Super League side Leeds Rhinos.

Martin requested the release as late as Sunday afternoon with only hours to spare before the end of the June 30 deadline.

It’s believed Martin has agreed to a two-year deal with Leeds.
