Minumum wage for any player in the top 30 is $100,000 so unless he was already on that he'd be getting a pay rise to that.

Would have been on the lower end of the scale( minimum wage) so probably overall not much difference to the cap as we would have paid out the remainder of the Tualau wage ( one third of it) and upgraded Kalache.

It depends on a few things there’s definitely players outside of the top 30 that only receive match payments.

That’s like old Cement Gillespie getting his finger chopped off working on the garbage truck! I think the NRL has a requirement that any junior player has to be studying or working if they are contracted.
