And will our club be shit if we don't sign him? He's only been at storm 20 years and shown no sign of wanting to move.

And who would we blame for performances if he did come and we still lose coz we have a shit squad? Or would Bellamy get more time to rebuild than Pay, because it's Bellamy.

If you offer him ridiculous money, incentives, involvement l/employment for life why not.
I don’t get it, if we are so rich just get him. He’s the best coach of all time. Hands down.
No chance. Bennett has 7 premierships, with 2 clubs. Bellamy has a couple that weren't taken away with 1 club, with a side I could have coached to wins, especially if I rorted the cap like he has.

It's not about the blame game, before we signed Pay I said being a rookie he would need a mentor.
It's about getting the club at where it belongs and to do so we need a coach that is strong, smart and fair who could attract a playing roster that's needed.
I know it's a funny proposition for some !!!:tonguewink:

Bellamy needs to prove he is capable of coaching more than the one team (he failed as NSW coach), otherwise he will always be considered a decent coach only when he has ~4 future immortals in his team. He needs to take an average team to a championship to prove that he is worthy of being called a great coach. I actually said that to him once, gave me a withering look together with an expletive, so I know that he knows that there's some truth in it.

There's not too many people that would think being told to fuck off would actually validate their comments............

He probably realized that a long time ago

What you guys think of Adam O'brien former Melbourne storms assistant coach now assistant coach at the roosters. He was supposed to be Bellamy's successor. I reckon dogs should go for him.

Little experience in rebuilds and always coached under teams that are successful (Storm and Roosters).

We need an experienced coach who can gone through rebuilds before.

Bellamy is a great coach. But even he could not resurrect this abysmal playing roster.
When the clean out is complete, and some new talent recruited, the club will improve a lot.
In all reality, only about 10 of the top 30 deserves to survive the cut.

To the geniuses the decision makers at Belmore...Our ship is fast sinking, we have had enough !!!
Time you spent some of the supporters and members millions from the football and the leagues clubs on a supper coach...Time to dangle the biggest carrot ever !!!...Time to SOS Bellamy !!!

Bellamy would want full control of buying selling etc etc, something I doubt the current board would allow, after the des disaster,I still griffin would do a great job if given the opportunity.

Is it the coach? Is it the players? Certainly a combination of both. If we stick with Pay the roster needs to be turned over , we cant continue on the way it is going. Yes Pay makes some mind blowing decisions on selections that we don't understand or support. My question is are they players not even trying? Or don't care? They drop the ball, the kick poorly, thy cant score more than 12 points a game. Is it the game plan?. poor coaching? Shit squad? Coach lost players respect? Either way massive changed are needed, I don't mind getting beaten by 30 plus if we have a young team who are playing with passion and improving. We had that in the last 6 rounds of last year. We have gone backwards over the footy we were playing at the end of 2018. Pick a team and play the players in right positions and stick with the fn team. Moving and dropping players every week is not the answer. Meaney is not a winger. Montoya cant tackle. Tolman cant attack. Jacko looks injured. We are going around in circles and have not taken any steps forward in the last 8 weeks or more. Us long time fans can see these things then why cant the coach? So Pay must accept full responsibility in that area. But who is the answer at coach??

Give any half decent coach a killer spine to work with and they're going to do well with it. You can put super outside backs in a squad with a poor spine and they'll struggle a bit. Look at the Raiders. Great backline, but an average spine. The days when a good forward pack could win premierships are gone with the demise of decoy running. Hasler went very close to a premiership with this style of play in the final year before the rules were changed. Even without a creative halves pairing decoy running and great support play from a strong backline was hard to beat.

Even if we recruit Bellamy he's still going to have to assemble a great spine, a strong pack and a backline that is capable of turning half chances into tries. Alongside of his success you also have to look at the fact that almost every year he comes up with a new wrestling tactic that is outlawed the following year. Then you have to take into account that his rosters have been over the salary cap during much of his great run. He's not going to walk into a system without a huge number of advantages and benefits and get the same type of results.

You don't have to be Craig Bellamy to use his tactics, lets get some discipline with 'no mistakes policy' then some pride in the jersey hard running, then some fends and passes at the line with a touch of desperate lateral shifting defense, see all good again.

As Walt Disney once said fantasy land > the greatest kingdom of them all.
Hoping that Belamy or any other top line coach will is just living in cloud co-ok land.
Hoping that the Trbojevic' bros and Mitchell will be signed is also living in cloud co-ok land.
The powers at our club need a major re think of where our club is going and what are its future prospects, simply because I lay a lot of the blame on the corrupt NRL and the even more currept Media

We are not going to get a experienced premiership winning coach. It's all pipe dreams.

A waste of time and energy.

We need to recruite an entire coaching staff which consists of specialized coaches, assistants and a head coach, all working together as one.

We require the following;

- Defensive coach (Brett Kimmorley)
- Specialized Kicking Coach (Andrew Johns)
- Skills Coach (Matthew Johns)
- Specialist Coach (Michael Ennis)
- Halves Coach (Andrew Johns)
- Leadership Coach (Andrew Ryan)
- Strength and Conditioning trainer (Billy Jonhstone)
- Wrestling trainer (Anthony Perosh)
- 2 Development Coaches
- 2 Assistant Coaches
- Head Coach

I don’t think we need to get Craig Bellamy necessarily. I still think jimmy dymock can do a fine job. He worked with des and let’s face it des is a good coach and knows how to get results. Dymock also knows about what didn’t work with des and I am sure he can improve on those areas. Lastly, he has bulldogs DNA. I love how no one is talking about DNA now. We bloody sacked Hasler because of it and now people are saying get Flanagan. He ain’t no dog. Bring dymock home!

Actually im pretty sure he was born and raised in dogs territory so it would be like re claiming an old dog.

He goes absolutely berserk and nearly pops an embolism everytime the storm make an error, imagine him coaching the dogs, he'd be in a casket after 10 minutes of the opening trial
