I think Pay has selected real unfashionable toliers in the squad. In other words people who are hard nosed and dont stand out, and get the job done, good club men. This is inline with how Chris Anderson coached.

Eg. Pay picks Holland, Tolman, Elliott. Not flashy but grinders.

Anderson on the other hand used to have Relf, Reardon Mitch Newton as an example.
Similar attributes but not spectacular.
