ISP was one out shit last year and because of the quality of our props it worked.

Need to see him in a different scenario to determine whether he’s got the goods or not
I agree with this 100%, it was definitely one out and even in attacking positions near the tryline it was the forwards steam rolling over.

In Steve G's defence, (1) If that style is winning you the GF and the ISP super bowl:smirk: then why would you change it. (2) the big boys were always motivated to run hard and were obviously playing for the coach. He could get the team up for the big games

I don't think Dean is a very good coach either but we need more steel in our forwards. And if a new coach can bring that then we are more than half way to getting in the top 8 again.

Not defending Pay
But honestly...What expectations did we have from a rookie coach with players communications problems in a such a messed up club ?
We simply need to chase Bellamy Big time

Why doesn’t the club show leadership.
Either put the poor bastard out of his misery now or extend him for 2020 & 2021. Give him a pay rise and stare down all the critics.

Stuck in this limbo is the worst of all.

Yeah agree, he at least identified our strength and used it well. Just need to see him in a different situation where the forwards aren’t going to be as dominant to see what he comes up with

Further disaater will happen this weekend after 80 minutes when we play the Sharks and some people excuse it for a cricket score. How many false bottoms should the fans have to experience before the leadership show some umm leadership?

Clarkey pedals and rehashes rubbish he has read elsewhere, has never had an exclusive, full of himself.
Dean Pay is no visionary, however he also has the worst roster in the NRL.
His selections are at times mind boggling, however difficult to know if he is trying to establish a standard that some of the fellas who seem out of favour wont adhere to. Let him see out his contract because nobody could get a whole lot more out of our current crop.

Don't think pay has any more support from the kennel or the playing group... A few more floggings and pressure from the kennel might force the clubs hand.
I sure as shit hope Lyn Anderson pulls off a big coup in getting a good coach. In saying that I remember the whole crowd at the bulldogs trial when des came in the coaches box and standing up to cheer him
