They won’t sign with a team who don’t know who the coach will be then. Dean pay will fuck the bulldogs over in all contract signings unless we get a premiership winning coach like flanno coming to the bulldogs. Anyone thinking different have no idea
Not Dean Pay.... the Andersons.

The Andersons are family friends with Dean. Remember that Anderson coached Pay for 5 years in the 90s. No way in hell are they going to sack their mate.

Plus you get rid of Pay, you still have the problem with board members micromanging everyone (even fellow board members).

I think he’d do us a lot of good. Too bad we have Horan chewing up 1 million in cap space. Don’t see how we could possibly afford him.

As of nov 1 we can start chatting to tom and jake highy doubt they will leave manly. Whatever we offer manly we match it no doubt. So they wont sign with us. Thats the bad news. But heres the good news. Martin Tapau is off contract at the same time. Offer tom and jake a massive package deal (one that fucks manlys cap and be forced to match) remember they have dce on massive money long-term as well. Because manly will have the turbos and dce locked in on massive deals we say thankyou very much we will take Tapau instead. Theres no way they could keep all them.

Moving on to the roosters. We may miss out on Mitchell also. Roosters may decide to match our offer. But guess what Manu and tko are off contract at the same time. We tell the roosters ok keep Mitchell we will take tko and manu instead. Again cant keep them all. They will then have keary teddy Mitchell crithon cordner on massive money. They cant keep tko and manu as well.

These are just examples. Theres a few other teams in the same boat as the roosters. This is why teams should never have a number stars off contract at the same time. i.e tigers with teddy woods moses and brooks. They ended up only keeping one. That situation was a little different because they all wanted to leave and not because of cap issues. But its a similar situation.

Point is offer massive overs for these teams best players. Force them into matching it while fucking there cap up. Which then forces them into having to let go some of there other good players who are still very good. Tko manu tapau are just examples. I believe brisbane strom and radiers also have a number of there stars off contract at the same time as well.

And yet both Stimson and DWZ signed with Pay as coach, for all of DWZ’s contract length and Stimson’s contract extends beyond Pay’s time. Plainly they both weren’t put off coming to us and being coached by Pay. Plus Stimson had enough confidence in the Board to trust their decision on who the coach will be for the remainder of his contract.

Now that you mentioned nfl. I cant see Val Holmes making it over there. Maybe we should wait for him and offer him an offer he cant refuse. His still very young and in his prime. I know cowboys will definitely be his preference but they have morgan and talmaolo on massive money long-term. Plus mclean and mcguire on there books. Surely they dont have a spare 1.2m sitting around. Val Holmes turns 24 this year. Offer him an 8 year deal till his 32. For around 9-10 million.

Get Flanagan and big chance of getting Holmes. He does not look like making the cut for the Jets this season.

Fringe players. The manly boys are both in top 5-10 players in comp.

Dogs need to have a chat with Tesi Niu. Broncos are stacked with talented backs, and Niu can play anywhere across the backline.

Tap ons like Hoppa with the footwork and pace of Barba. Will be a special player but is stuck behind a raft of juniors out of Broncos and they cannot keep them all.
