Great point! It's all well and good calling for the boards head but who will they replace them with?

Replacing the board every 2 years will dig the hole deeper.
I disagree give the existing board another 2 years and we might even get relocated ...they are so out of touch with the modern game ....They may dig us to an even deeper hole

Dunno, I'm sure he would have a strong ticket if.... it eventuated....
Reckon it could be a landslide if the elections where on next month...time will tell
I strongly doubt that. Don’t forget Peponis said he was staying on the Leagues Club board after the Anderson ticket won to make sure things were being done right and we quit shortly after. Where was this same attention to detail on the club for the few years prior? Anyone that has been recently involved at board level prior to Anderson stink to high heaven and that’s not going to be forgotten anytime soon. I noticed you mentioned relocating before that is scaremongering at its best.

But is it scaremongering?
Dwindling crowds, dwindling merchandise sales, understand sponsors are not renewing at the end of this year.....and another wooden spoon year projected for next year? Right?
When people compare our misfortunes to Newcastle...well it's not really the same is it....one town team, No fear of relocation, strong junior base, crowds turn up to their games, merchandise still strong during their tough period.
They are also one the media darlings of the Nrl....carnt say the same about us..

Yes he might have technically resigned from the leagues club board but if you think he wasn't forced out you are kidding yourself.

Also when you say "anyone that has been recently involved at board level prior to the Andersons stink to high heaven" you have to be kidding.

For a start the Leagues Club was run perfectly well before the Andersons.

As to the football club, the team never sunk to its current low under the pervious board!

I think you should really do your homework on the redevelopment of the Leagues Club there was dodgy deals and fuck up after fuck up leading to the redevelopment taking over a year longer then scheduled.

Bullshit the club was a shambles salary cap wise I don’t care if you don’t believe it because it was. This situation was coming one day and the rats left the ship before it exploded.

You know the only way the NRL can force relocation is it they can’t pay the bills and go with their hand out to the NRL. The Leagues Club ensures that situation will never happen. It rules out the rest of your argument as long as their in money in the bank there’s no issue of relocation.

Please the audited statements of financial performance and financial position of the leagues club are a matter of public record for all to see.
The finances of the leagues club are good and where never an issue.

No I don't believe the salary cap bullshit because it is/was way too convenient. It is and always was a smoke screen designed to hide behind.
Look you might not know but nepotism is running rampant and eating the club like a cancer.

I sense a decent A team will go up against them (maybe Turvey or Coorey will get some interest)... or who knows, maybe Gould will show interest amongst others.

I think whoever is contesting will buy time and wait until the Pay situation/end of season occurs. If nothing changes from now and theres a dream team assembled (Turvey, Price, Coorey, Gould, ???) the Anderson lead board could be sunk.

Chris needs to step back, because he's pushing others away in this scenario and it won't end well and could cost the entire board their spots.

Let’s just start this years a write off as a lot of us knew we weren’t going to be super competitive but we should be having a go regardless. Pay needs to give the young blokes on the team a go so we can see what they have got like in 08 how Barba got a run it was something to look forward too

With the players we have off contract here this year we might jag 2-3 more player maybe 1 decent player for next year with elections looming but come November 1 our building for 2021 can start .

The current board inherited a shit storm which we all known the players we Shead over the last 18 months is crazy but nessesary to get the this point the board have had to work out Way to move player on to benefit us in the long run no one actually knows how much we have to spend that’s the best part journos and analysts hate it too it’s all speculation

To me this is boards time to show what they have and what they made of cause the figures we have for 2021 should allow us to build a competing team again

So far they have signed dwz and Stinson 2 good players and more will follow there is the talk of latrel mitchell who would be a great signing to there credit at least there talking to superstars once we land a big fish other players will come

I think they all know deans not the long term coach going forward we all know that but the club come come out publicly and say he is a shit **** it’s not professional and good players won’t come if the place is a circus

At least the dwz and Stinson signings are rep players not the reserve grade turkeys we have signed in the past

We got to have trust that they have a plan behind closed doors for the rebuild

Knowing we have money we’re gonna be linked to all sorts of players off contract maybe some will make sense and player manager will float offers from us to drive there prices up

By halfway through next season I think we have a better indication where the clubs heading
Lol, write off before season Began, especially with pay as coach. Noting changes until he’s gone bye bye !!

Congratulations the most misinformed post of the year. At least get a fact or truth in. The Leagues Club was being poorly administered under the previous regime.
Dr George publicly backed Dib & the old board & when they were so convincingly voted out, he did the honourable thing fell on his sword & resigned. The Leagues Club is once again flourishing ultimately to benefit the Football Club.
