While watching the Fiji vs Lebanon test the coms were talking about Lichaa.

Andy Raymond tells a story about how Lichaa was one of the elite running dummy halves in the junior ranks of rugby league. When Lichaa signed for the Bulldogs the first thing they tell him he isnt allowed to run because a running dummy half isnt in the game plan.

smh

You mean des buried lichaa
It was common knowledge he didn’t want him running and conserve energy for defence
You spend 4 years not being able to do something, you lose your touch in that area
In saying that his service from the ground, 2 step then pass and other shit killed the bloke

I don’t see how he was an “elite” running hooker.
He doesn’t threaten the line with break away speed, and always looks like a headless chook when he does scoot.
His “strength” from an attacking perspective is close to the line, giving short balls, but even that aspect of his play is average at best when compared to other hookers.

He’s also got no kicking game. I cannot wait till he’s packed up his locker and gone he’s had a phone book of excuses since he arrived and has been exposed time after time.

Kane Kalache needs a run in FG stat. Lichaa played ok today, although I would not consider re-signing him. Wakeham was ok, not incredibly impressive but ok. Montoya was strong from Fullback with some strong kick returns and satisfactory positional play. Romanos played limited minutes and didn’t look to have too great an impact during his short stint.

Overall the most exciting prospect is Kalache. He’s a young Alex Twal.

Haslers game plan was a dummy half that just tackles and gives service from dummy half. (Ennis was also ‘strangled’ by this game plan)
Lichaa service has always been slow and he doesn’t have a kicking game so in this day and age he is just not a ‘top notch’ hooker/dummy half
Smith has the kicking game and passing game
Cook is just explosive and can pass and developing a kicking game
Lichaa has been left behind

Aren't we forced to use him from now to end of season since JMK is injured? JMK began to run quite a bit, so Pay should be fine with Lichaa running. We'll see what he comes up with.

Most likely Lichaa. Brown a chance. I've seen people saying to try Lewis at 9. Holland also played 9 off the bench last year. Our squads never consistent so we'll probably rotate between those 4 every week (not serious, hopefully..)

Hasler did have an effect on his game but he's had time to recover if he was capable. He just needed to keep playing like he did in those last few games of 2017 but instead we re-signed him and he goes back to his old ways.

The money can be better spend elsewhere come the end of the year.

Lol...half of his assists in Reggies a couple of weeks ago were forward passes to Renouf a meter out.
