He can run hard like that on kick returns on the wing. Meaney has to put on size and work on a few things but he's a fullback and that's it, so play him there or punt him to CC for a while.

Tbh I don't see Meaney or Cogger being long term solutions in the positions we need. They were just signed because of their connections with Pay and U20 NSW squads.

Meaney isn't good enough or ready to handle FG. I'm glad DWZ played fullback today as he showed just how much we've missed a FG standard fullback that supports and makes 200m plus regularly... He carried defenders with him as opposed to getting dominated like Meaney did.

The one major flaw he has is a lack of a passing game and again that was on display with him holding onto it when an overlap was created.

Hopefully we get a professional coach one day that identify this and get him to work hard on it moving forward. Otherwise having a ball hog fullback will hurt the team despite the impact his running game provides

This should be the backline the rest of the season. Harper and Katoa need to get a few games so we can see what they can do in FG. Forget how ready they are, things can't worse than they are with the chumps they'd be replacing..

Thought DWZ did great for the time he was on the field. So good to watch. Have to remember not only was he the best with foran from a team of woeful players but it was his first game with the team. He and foran played good considering our pack were weak and going backwards. We had some bad calls but we were bad.

If he isn't good enough to play fullback in first grade then he belongs in reserve grade or elsewhere.
