Surely our board are looking at getting in a new coach by November 1 who will be involved in the recruitment of all these new players come 2021. You would think this would be very attractive to a coach to be able to assemble a squad to his requirements. It usually takes a new coach up to 3 years to assemble the squad he wants. Our situation could cut 3 years off the process. Last thing we want is to waste this opportunity with up to 23 spots open on our roster (as was mentioned here), fill all the spots, THEN get a new coach in for 2021 and give him the squad he hasn't assembled. This could even be a chance to get a well established coach who would love the idea of being able to assemble a squad of this size. Problem is, what coach could that be. I just hope our board are taking that into consideration and if they are looking at Shane Flanagan as our coach they are including him in recruitment discussions. I only mention Flanagan as he is a premiership winning coach and attainable (if his ban is lifted). The only other premiership winning coach that could be attainable could be Paul Green. All the other top coaches look to be locked up for the next few years
