Also I cannot believe the NRL is SO against moving a GF to Queensland that they are going to play a GF at the SCG instead of moving to Suncorp. That to me is absolutely insane. The SCG sucks for NRL, sucks a big fat one in every conceivable way.
it was said on NRL360 last night that the NRL couldn't move the GF to Qld or Vic due to an agreement with the State Gov of the GF being in NSW being tied in to the stadium upgrades, that said the SCG would be a shit place to watch a GF (or any footy) the play would be that far away they'd look like ants

My initial post was a throwaway joke....but there's never a bad time to discuss matters of such importance....
Base socialist politics? Just lol.....
Let's agree that some climate change is happening and humans are part of the cause.

With that accepted, please tell me why 1st World Countries are being commanded into reducing our emissions (eg; Australia, USA) at great economic cost, while 2nd and 3rd World Countries (eg; India, China) are allowed to increase their emissions by multiples of what out total emissions are? It's simple maths, India will INCREASE its emissions (ie; improve their standard of living) next year by many times what we can reduce our emissions by even if we went to zero, zilch, diddly squat, SFA emissions. (ie; lower our standard of living). Plainly a socialist agenda, there is no other possible explanation.

There's an opportunity to have more next year, so I'm pushing for it, had exactly that discussion last night with a Board member.

I'm sure the club will forgo tens of thousands of dollars just so you can have your weekly nirvana...

How did we go from talking about stadium change to climate change?

Did you miss the part where I said I don't care, as a Bulldogs fan all I really care about is getting to games easily, watching from the best possible vantage point and enjoying the full game day experience. Of course winning is an important ingredient in that and I can't see how playing at someone else's home ground helps (it's in the heart of Parramatta territory FFS). The Leagues club will make plenty of money from people attending before and after games. Personally my spending will increase multiple times as I currently only go to the Leagues club for Belmore games and Football Club events.

Blame the "utility half" ............ plus I'm not talking about climate change, I'm discussing socialist agendas ;)
It's like having different salary caps for different socio-economic groups, the "rich clubs" get a lower cap than the "poor clubs".

It’s all about you isn’t it. The Leagues Club actually loses money on Bulldogs game days because the usual gamblers go to other venues. Enjoy watching BankWest games on tv I’ll enjoy going to a state of the art facility where EVERYONE can sit in comfort and have a sensation view of the field and is protected from the weather.

Hang on, you are blaming me because "it's all about me" and yet you are doing exactly the same, "I’ll enjoy going to a state of the art facility". The only difference is you are going for the "facilities" and I'm going for the "full game experience".;)

Well the difference is everyone gets the same experience at BankWest it’s not the case at Belmore but I guess it’s hard to see that when you have your blinkers on.

I thought you said TK wasn't a place to discuss political matters and here you go at it, but you can discuss polical matters on TK in the "lounge section" of the forum.

By the way I agree with your post. It is a socialist agenda 100%. Let's see how Steggall goes with the erection of wind turbines at Warringah....LOL...what a joke

Nobody is really being forced to do anything.....if we were, our government would be doing more to reduce emissions. We all agree to set targets as part of this accord.....but there's no real obligation to meet them. We can't control what other nations do....but the more nations come together on this, the more difference it will make and the better position we will be in as a global community to place pressure on those who are not meeting targets. It may be a losing battle, but it's pretty cynical and nihilistic to say we shouldn't try. if we all use the old look at what this country isn't doing argument as an excuse not to make meaningful change, we'll be up shit great without a paddle before you can say Go Dogs in Chinese.

I wasn't going to say anything, but.....

Jokes aside, this didn't have to become a serious political discussion.....my comment could have just been treated as a throwaway joke as it was intended to be if you hadn't asked for elaboration....lol

What a silly deal. Oh well we won't be at that GF so it won't impact us.

Exactly, thank you for confirming that it's a socialist agenda. As you said it's all about making (coercing, shaming, humiliating, embarrassing) the "rich guys" into doing something about it (detrimental to their economies) while at the same time giving a free pass to the "poor guys" to do whatever they like (to improve their economies). That's about as socialist as it gets.

Please, it's not even a serious discussion, it's TK for crying out loud, we all think we can solve the worlds problems on here lol.

The thing I find funny on TK is you don't know if you're discussing something with a 90 year old fart or an 8 year old kid for all we know. G'teed conversations would be different if they were made face to face.

Not mine, I'm more than willing to express my humble opinion to anyone anytime, face to face or otherwise. I treat everyone with equal respect.

Flip me sideways...Man you are the King of Mis-interpreting posts, hence my claim that face to face discussions are different.
Behind the keyboard you can't see peoples face expressions, voice tone. As well as their age. I talk to my 6 year old son differently to the way I talk to my wife, my son's vocabulary isn't as advanced as my wife's.
Heaven help us if we said something that offended someone because we forgot to add an "lol" or an emoji at the end of the sentence.

Get the picture or do I need to face time you?

I don't mind the discussion.....it wasn't me who said this wasn't the place for it!
