Teen charged after allegedly kicking and punching police officer

A 14-year-old girl has been charged after a female police officer was allegedly kicked and punched at a shopping centre in Sydney's north.
The alleged attack was captured on camera by a bystander at 4.30pm yesterday at the shopping centre on Florence Street, Hornsby.
Footage shows the 40-year-old senior constable and her off-sider approach a group of loitering teens and ask them to move along.

It is alleged the 14-year-old girl, without provocation, punched the officer in the face and kicked her.
Additional officers attended and arrested the girl along with a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl for unrelated street offences.
The teen was charged with assault of office execution of duty, and resist officer in execution of duty. She was released from police custody last night after being granted bail and is expected to appear in court next month.
