2008 way better than 2019.. we had more players to like then , had a premiership winning coach that had given us good times.. and we went on a great recruitment run suring 2008 giving us alot of hope for 2009..

I see no light, no reason to think anything will be different next year..

In 08 we had the new signings to look forward to in 09. That team was shitter then this one. But each week they busted there arses. Losing hurt them. I’ll never forget Maitua speaking after the Dragons had beaten us 30-0 on a cold Monday night. He was hurting. He was basically in tears telling the reporter losing sucks and it’s hard at the moment. Told the fans to stick with them.

This year. The team is also shit. But losing doesn’t hurt them. Tonight after the game I saw Hoppa having a laugh with the opposing hooker. They don’t care. Why should we?

2008 was a tough season, but we knew the pain was going to be short term. We'd come off 2 very competitive years before that and for most of 2008 we knew very big positive changes were coming for 2009.

This year however is after years of pain and many more years to come.

2019 is much, much worse. Still at least a year away from even having some space in the cap to make some improvements. I have been a supporter for close to 40 years and this is easily the worst. The team is so bad, this will take at least 5 years before we even have a competitive team.

Enjoy the ride, at least we can add another 2 wooden spoons for this year and next. Probably add 2021 as well.

Reason for this poll was I was having a discussion about how much arse we suck and another bloke brought up 08.

I remember we still tried to win games in 08 and we just bend over and take it in 2019.
