Don't see any changes happening to Belmore. There's going to be a state of the art stadium in the west and east plus ANZ. The days of local home grounds are fading away. We can't even fill Belmore on the few occasions we play there a year.
I think the only work carried out on Belmore moving forward will be with training facilities in mind.

Belmore might host a few more games over the next few years with ANZ out of action but after that it will be 1 or 2 a year if that.

Yep .. exactly that. Dead in the water.

If people look closely, there are no plans to do anything with BSG either.

The sad reality is this.. Belmore Sports Ground will eventually cop a bulldozer, and the land will be rezoned for high rise apartment blocks nearby the station. Our club will move to ANZ with training and offices out near NSWRL facilities.
Always quick to shoot something down.

Obviously this project needs funding from the government. It is only part of the plan. A concourse getting built on the hill is in the pipeline as is improved seating at either end of the ground.
Don’t shoot the messenger it would be great for the club and the community if they pull it off.

No chance, Canterbury and Bankstown are both safe Labour electorates, and we have Liberal Governments in both State and Federal Parliaments. Parramatta Federally is now considered a swinging seat and as a result has been and will continue to get pork barrelled by both parties. State wise it is now held by the Liberals, so they have a local member in power to push their case even further. Until voters wake up to the fact that living in a safe seat is not good idea it will always be the same. Labour doesn't need to do anything to win those seats and the Liberals know that they can't win them even if they do everything. A swinging electorate is the best place to live, both sides will try and retain your vote or win you over every single election.

Go Dogs
Luke Boner on triple m night shift (i catch the last bit in the mornings heading to work) he was talking about living in a safe seat and says he absolutely hates it, feels like they are all treated like shit and forgotten about.

Sydney Olympic - will most likely move to either Bankwest Stadium, Leichardt Oval, or the new Hills Bulls Stadium being built at Kellyville Park.
Green Space - moot point as there is plenty of green space. Around 5 minutes driving distance (from BSG) are Clemton Park, Wiley Park, Parry Park, Rudd Park, Croydon Park, Hughes Park, Pat O'Connor Reserve, Flockhart Park, Tasker Park, Peace Park (and I've probably missed some).

So nothing stopping the council selling the land off for redevelopment (either commercial or residential).

Always quick to shoot something down.
Nope just being realistic.

Anyhow, reading more into this I've found the following:

Revised Marcch 2019 Masterplan:
http://webdocs.bankstown.nsw.gov.au...ts and Recreation Precinct Masterplan NEW.pdf
Council Meeting Notes (from March 2019):
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Council’s capital works budget for 2018-19 allocates $300,000 to initiate design of the adopted masterplan priority actions and $450,000 for the Belmore Sports Facility Review. The Masterplan will also inform future grant submissions, Council s94 (S117) Plan reviews, and the new LEP under development.

I have seen many a glossy master plan from everything to international tourist resort opportunities (ie a Council or local polling promoting a remote [no transport links] on northern NSW coast - well there’s a beach of sorts and a river) - to inland industrial estates (ie is a disused paddock at edge of town with 3 phase power).

You literally pulled those out of your ass. Olympic will never go to BankWest. Why would they spend huge money to hire a venue for crowds of less then 2000 people? Leichhardt doesn’t have the admin facilities and Kellyville is miles away from the Greek heartlands in Sydney.

That’s still not enough green space per resident. I’m pretty sure Belmore is crown land too.

They also need to dredge out the Cooks river from Campsie (Picken Oval, Croydon Park, Mildura Reserve) to Botany Bay, so supporters can come in by ferry.

Have shuttle buses from Cooks river to BSG or you can take the scenic root by foot, up Brighton Avenue and Beamish Street

I don't think there is such thing as "greenspace per resident", given some of the housing estates these days absolutely smashed together with no parks anywhere nearby.

If they dredge it they'll spend the next 5 years removing the bodies, cars, trolleys, and surely a few Lime Bikes from there.

We tried that once. It failed. The problem is that ANZ is home to many other sporting codes and clubs and it heavily affected our training schedule. Having our offices and training base at Belmore means we have complete control.
