Maybe he meant 6-8 weeks more on top of what was already served?

Completely unlike uncle Tony to tell a fib.

Things change in 4 weeks, even daily, every player's body reacts differently to injuries, some heal faster than others, some work harder at recovery than others, lots of variables in soft tissue injuries, never underestimate the power of the mind etc etc.
Plainly both Foran and Napa have worked extremely hard at getting back as fast as they possibly can. There's the extra push from watching your teammates and the overwhelming need to join them in battle.

Tempered by the doctor's advise of course.

The injury timelines are only estimates and only go off how much time previous players with the same injury took to recover. Players respond differently to the treatment and some take the rehab more seriously then others. You take this stuff way to literally sometime.

I don't see any benefit in overstating the injuries.

Foran was certainly determined to get back, well done to him.
Agree mate.. shows he is keen to be playing for us , and that pic with him an Naps you can tell all is good , at least we know their hearts are in it and they playing for this great club/jersey!! Very refreshing too see.

I agree. I think it was more a case of under-promising his return to not get hopes up and then fans go after Foran for not being back as planned.

Good pic the one of the two of them.
Comraderie off the field transfers on the field. We're slowly building from the ground up. It's old school but it will work. One only has to look at some of the ego rosters at other clubs. We're only one loss behind most of them with us having the least experienced squad.

Every club does it. X is out for seven billion weeks. 6 weeks later: SHOCK as X is back after six weeks instead of seven billion weeks.

That’s like when Michael McGuire said Adam Reynolds was out for 5 months in the presser after a game against us and I think he laced up the next week! And we copped a suspension

Just replied the exact same things to KE and then deleted it as I saw yours haha. But yeah I was fuming over that, Madge directly influenced the judiciary

Might be a case that the times indicated were quite liberal to allow flexibilty. In other words overstate not understand.

I think it’s unneccisary risk for Foran to play this week. He had surgery on his ankle for a syndesmosis. For mine that is 6 weeks minimum. To bring him back in 4. To me it doesn’t make sense. Give him one more week so he comes back 100% and not a game day decision.

Imagine him going for a step and losing his footing or someone landing on his ankle again. For mine not worth it.

Napa is what 3 weeks? But he didn’t need surgery. It makes sense 3-4 weeks for him so defending how he rehabbed and trained he could be ready. But even in saying that it’s no point to risk high profile players. Especially on a field that has taken a few players this season already for knee injuries.

Anyways dogs know best and especially if he needs the surgeons clearance. Like you’d be pretty confident if the surgeon clears him knowing what’s required for him to perform he should be ok.

Interesting to see who makes the 17. Even nu brown is a long way off being at his best. So interesting what happens with him. I would have thought he needed a few more full games to get back into the tempo and match fitness.

When was the last time Foran "broke down"?
The toe tendons last year was a freak injury and players get syndesmosis injuries due to impact, neither of which are remotely close to breaking down.

I’m really surprised they would risk either coming back early, it seems a bit silly especially on that ground. I think they are probably close to ready but not going to play this week. I think they are using the old des mind games against him.
