Wakeham's only reserve grade game was against Dragons. Cleeland failed to take control in that game, but Wakeham didn't take the reigns when needed either. The depth is very weak after losing Burr and Fine.
Woolford, Cleeland and Frawley weren't overrated at all they were very good reserve grade players that won us plenty of games.
You keep whinging about Wakeham's only reserve grade game and now he is all of a sudden a better option?
Woolford barely played last year and didn't live up to the hype he generated.
Frawley was rubbish as was Cleeland (hence why they can't get a gig in the NRL at another team).
Cogger and Wakeham are both young and capable players. Cogger is a talker and director on the field, wheres Wakeham a ball runner and smart player with a decent skillset. Both should be a decent combination and then you add JMK/Lichaa/Nu Brown at hooker for some punch. Sure they lack a bit of defence but that can be improved on.
Meaney at the back is a constant danger given our front row is largely unchanged from last year, and can definitely pop an offload.
Saddler is yet to come back from injury. Dalton Smith will go well.
1. Meaney
6. Wakeham
7. Cogger
9. Brown/Lichaa/JMK
That's a solid NSW Cup spine.
