Today week we take a look at the hooker position.

Michael Lichaa:
Lichaa played 20 games for the club in 2018 and this season will be his fifth at Belmore.

The 25-year old has played 100 NRL games to date, with 85 having been played in the blue and white.

In 2018 he made 734 tackles, averaging 36 per game and was second behind Josh Jackson for most made in the season by a Bulldogs player.

Lichaa averaged 48.2 running metres per game, had the most dummy half runs at the club with 75, came up with 7 try assists – the equal most by a Bulldogs player in 2018 and had a tackle efficiency of 94.4% for the 2018 season.

Jeremy Marshall-King:
Marshall-King was a real find for the club in 2018, playing a number of positions across the season, including number nine.

Jeremy spent four of the 23 games he played during his first season at the club at dummy half in rounds 9, 10, 11 and 12.

Jeremy proved to be a player of real utility value over the course of the year.

The 23-year old had 30 tackle breaks, 4 try assists, 4 line-break assists, an average of 56.2 kick metres and 42.1 running metres per game, in addition to 522 tackles with a tackle efficiency of 87.8%.

Fa'amanu Brown:
Brown joined the Bulldogs in 2018 after spending his junior days with the Cronulla Sharks.

The 23-year old played nine NRL games for the club, all spent in the dummy half position and was a member of the successful Intrust Super Premiership team.

He scored a try in the club's round 16 win over the Newcastle Knights and during his 15 matches in the Intrust Super Premiership, Brown scored nine tries, came up with 31 tackle breaks, 12 line breaks and six try assists.

The Bulldogs utility will now be sidelined for three to four months after undergoing surgery for a stress fracture in his foot.

Why does every article say JMK was a real find?

We are in big trouble in this position.

Lichaa - 20 games for 7 try assists.
JMK - 4 games for 4 try assists.

Hence why Lichaa is on the outer.
I think you mean 4 try assists in 23 games... he only played 4 games as starting hooker. Either way we’re fucked in the hooking ranks lol.

If Lichaa creates nothing by round five, build another one out of somebody else, could be JMK's only chance at Belmore.

Zac Woolford should have stayed, might have been our best option for the hooker role. Most likely would have got a good shot at it.
How would he feel now the knights have signed kurt mann to be their main hooker. They will have 4 hookers on their books including levy and slade griffins.
I reckon we should go after levy as he has played together with cogger and meaney. He's not the worst hooker out there......

Actually I know a few Knights fans who were pretty spewin that Griffin was chosen over Levi.... but to be fair, Slade was pretty solid prior to injury.. that poor bloke won't see another full season.. Woolford is a smart little player and should have been given a shot

Lichaa...... can't believe we have to put up with this useless prick for another year let alone 2018, about as useful as a spare dick at a honeymoon!!

Was a bad move signing Lichaa for 2 years. He didn't have anyone chasing him and was unsigned. Should have been 1 year + 1 year option in clubs favour.

All options listed in op are rubbish TBH.

This will be the first NRL season Lichaa is playing with 2 proper solid halves who call for the ball and run plays.

2019 is definitely make or break for the kid.

False.

The Oberon Tigers and Young Cherry pickers were chasing Lichaa hard, we trumped them both after a heated bidding war.
