You must hate A LOT of people then mate
Get what you're saying though, and I think the same way to a large extent but ...
It's not a question whether I believe his bullshit or not. The question for me is why does it matter if it is or isn't? He wants to leave. Fullstop. The reasons why aren't important to me at all.
I've already moved on as for me it's never about one player anymore. The romance of loyalty died a long time ago unfortunately, the sooner people accept that the easier this ride will be.
What's important now is that we get a squad of players 100% behind Pay and moving in-line with the club's principles and values. For me that's what I want to see, and I hope that the club can deliver on that.
PS: I don't believe what he's saying for a second, the point I was making about football in Europe is this 'excuse' is used pretty much every time and it always works as a club can't really can't come out and say "Bullshit personal reasons! You signed the f*cking contract, we don't care if your wife isn't happy / you're struggling with the lifestyle / your kid has cancer / you want more money etc." As soon as they bring out the "personal reasons" bullshit you either pay a lot more $ to keep them (Rorters) or you accept it, move on, and try to get the best deal possible (us)
