FMD!! some of the comments here are so stupid....

Everyone whinges about Hasler, we sign a new coach who inherited a shemozzle and no one is happy.

Everyone whinged about ray dib and the board, now we have a new board and CEO who also inherited a shemozzle and yet no one is happy..

This was never gonna be easy, ride the wave everyone... simple as that

that's got nothing to do with letting shit cnts Newcastle make a fool out of us

I wouldn't mind seeing Joe Ofahengaue in blue and white.. he is coming into his best years imo... but again he is no Klemmer and if Dave does go, I hope we make sure the Knights are made to pay in some way.. I'm not the biggest Ponga fan but he will suffice

Of course it does... the mess our current board are facing has all got to do with the last board, they’ve done a good job in the 9 months they’ve been been in charge... people asking for new ceo and board members.... it’s just nonsense

That doesn't mean they can't grow a pair and tell the Knights to fuck off

Apparently, Klem's wife has a sister in Newcastle and she wants to raise the kids there. He approached them.

It does if we still are having cap issues for the 2020 season... people forget

Jackson
Hopoate
Klemmer
Tolman
Foran

Are all signed till 2020, and their contracts are back ended heavily in the last season of their contracts.

As were the Morris boys, graham, kasiano, Reynolds and eastwood

The club shouldn't have allowed Dave to talk with Newcastle in the first place. We were given assurance by the CEO that Klemmer and Jackson were off limits.

How is that ticking the right boxes?
Mate if a player doesn't want to play for a club, then the best thing to do is letting him go. At a price that suits us of course.
To me that is ticking the right boxes. The last thing we need is a disgrunteld player and a split between the playing group.
$1m+ a season for a prop is ridiculous. We're all screaming we got no backs! we got no backs! we make meters and end up doing nothing with the ball.
And that will continue to happen if we keep spending big money on forwards. We need some balance in the way we distribute our cap money.
Find another prop that's worth much less at about $600k - $700k and they will punch out the same meters as Klem, and start pumping some funds outwide.

If we release this fucking traitor. I hope the club insits that his contract has a clause in it that his not allowed to play against us for the next 2 years while he was supposed to be playing for us. Is a clause like this legal?

all the contracts were back ended and majority of the players playing for us from 2013-16 were playing on peanuts.

what did we do with the left over money during that time as all the players salaries were back ended.

it doesn't make sense to me.

That's a question for Dib and his buddies to answer.

seems to be parallels from when SBW left, leaving when the club wasn't going well. Jackson being left on his own without alot of quality around him, just like Andrew Ryan at that time.

we saw back then that the addition of a quality halfback and hooker turns things around significantly. so while the Klemmer situation is all kinds of fucked, if it's a means to getting some quality in 7 and 9 then it could turn out to be the best move.

gonna be interesting to see where the clubs priorities lie in the wash-up of all this crap

I rate that joe o but doubt brisbane will let him go. Then again i guess someone who cheated at casino for $100 can be tempted by a big offer.

But what’s the right price? Do you honestly think we can sign someone that’s the same quality as Klemmer? Fuck no, the names being mentioned are Napa and Taupau and neither are anywhere as good. We are going to give Newcastle the best prop in the game and I would bet anything that we won’t get equal return!

I’d want Watson, Tex Hoy, Ese’Ese and I’d want compensation of $500,000.

I’d also want the club to come out and publicaly shame Klemmer for wanting to chase the money the grub

the only fools are a team that buys a one dimensional forward for 1.2 million

The amount of ball we get in the strike zone mostly on the back of him... and you couple that with a halves pairing of Pearce/Ponga... it's not a silly move by any stretch
