Now in all seriousness this will be very very interesting. We got fined $125K for something that didn’t put anybody at harm. Greg Inglis had been driving for four hours when he got pulled over and allegedly blew 0.85. What would he have been when he got behind the wheel in Dubbo? He’s been done speeding also on a public holiday when a lot of families would of been coming back to Sydney. This was a very very dangerous act. He’s put lives at risk here and should consider himself lucky he didn’t kill anybody. This should be a fine of minimum $500K.

Oh dear..........It will be okay as the NRL will ask his club to investigate the matter. Todd will not see this as anything to do with bringing the game into disrepute so no action will be forthcoming.

No seriously double demerits too... A real danger on the roads as well. The kids and I are travelling down to Orange tomorrow for a holiday so glad we didn't go today........

NEWLY appointed Kangaroos skipper and South Sydney Rabbitohs superstar Greg Inglis has allegedly been caught drink driving.

The 31-year-old NRL star was driving back from Dubbo this afternoon, where he had spent the weekend playing in the Koori Knockout round, when he was pulled over by police.

The incident came hours after Inglis was named Australia’s captain over Roosters star Boyd Cordner to take on Tonga.

At 2.15pm today, officers attached to the traffic and highway patrol command were conducting stationary speed enforcement on the Great Western Highway at Lithgow detected a black Mercedes Benz travelling above the speed limit,” a NSW Police spokeswoman told news.com.au.

“Police stopped the car and performed a roadside breath test on the driver, a 31-year-old man from Coogee, which allegedly returned a positive result.”

Inglis was arrested and taken to Lithgow Police Station where he underwent a breath analysis which allegedly returned a result of 0.085.

He was issued a field court attendance notice for mid-range drink driving and a traffic infringement notice for exceed speed limit.

His licence was suspended and he is due to appear in Lithgow Local Court on November 2nd.

Nothing to see here....
What do you mean? If Walters was coach he would relinquish his captaincy immediately. If nothing happens. again inconsistency from the NRL regarding bringing disreputate to the game. But because it is Souths it wouldn't surprise me if nothing more is heard. Lucky he didn't cause a fatal accident. How can you say nothing to see here. Technically he is supposed to lose double demerit points. Interesting to see what will transpire there.

If that was our club, $500K would be the starting point of the NRL's meeting.
Since we are talking about the NRL's Pride of the league, it will be more like the 500 without the "K".

As someone mentioned before, to be 0.085 at Lithgow from Dubbo is paralytic drunk when starting out. His only saving grace is saying he just had a few beers at lunch in Lithgow just before being pulled over (although this can be easily checked). There is not much in the way of towns/places to stop between Dubbo and close to Lithgow for a feed. (Bathurst maybe). Plus the usual 30mins cops will wait/elapse before they are at the police station for the proper test. He would have been 2-3 times the limit when starting out.

Lol who was that dickhead that wrote an article saying the Bulldogs should be following South’s example??? I wonder what he’ll have to say about them now.

Lift up the rug.
If it's the Souths rug it looks like a football sized patchwork quilt with all the sewing on they've had to do.

The integrity unit will probably find that a Roosters fan slipped him actual beer when he was asking for ginger beer.

They already had to buy a farm to spread this rug out. The integrity unit are going to need to spend some more time finding ways to spin this one. Maybe they can find an injured blowfly in his car that he was racing to the vets a few hundred kilometres away. He'll be lauded for his love of animals given that he was willing to risk his own life, the lives of everyone on the road and his licence to save a poor blowfly. What a hero he is.
