Interstate league fans couldn't watch the ISP Grand Final live. Umm other case of Peter Beattie looking like a clown over in Perth (and elsewhere)

Staggs wasn't that great today. The three players who were best afield for the Dolphins were the fullback Fuller, second rower Rudolf (Sharks bound) and Hopoate.

Some healthy perspective in all of this though, because whilst it sounds like the Dolphins ran riot, it wasn't exactly the case.

3 days before the game QRL stepped in and disallowed Easts Tigers from playing Cheyse Blair, Christian Welch, and Brandon Smith, because none of the 3 had met the requirement of 8 games in Qld Cup, nor playing an existing finals game.

Then during the game Tigers lost both their 5/8 and hooker whilst the scores were only 6-2.

Dolphins
FOR: 600 (26 points per game)
AGAINST: 382 (17 points per game)

Bulldogs
FOR: 537 (24 points per game)
AGAINST: 452 (21 points per game)

But worth noting that Q Cup generally isn't as strong a competition. Defence is generally worse, and games have a habit of blowing out to combined 50+ scorelines.

Dolphins had:
1 game they hit 40 (vs Burleigh who finished 2nd of 14).
2 games they hit 40-50 (vs Falcons and Tweed Head who finished 10th and 11th of 14 respectively).
1 game they hit over 50 (vs Wynnum who finished 12th of 14).

Bulldogs had:
2 games they hit 40 (vs Wyong and Wests who finished 8th and 5th out of 12 respectively).
2 games they hit 40-50 (vs Sea Eagles and Bears who finished 9th and 11th respectively).

State Championship is currently 2 a piece (2 close QLD win, 2 where NSW blew them off the park). Lowest winning score in any game is 26, and lowest score of any losing side is 12.

Traditionally though NSW Cup is a tougher competition to Qld Cup. If we play to our ability, we'll get the job done. Our advantage is in our experienced forwad pack.

Today our main issue was what I always said it was going to be... errors. We cut down the errors, and our halves take control, we win.
Traditionally tougher ? Where’d you come up with that, it’s been even for years, before the broncos the Brisbane league was as big as the nrl now langpark (Suncorp stadium )were always packed. Langer, beetson, Lewis, Lockyer all played in Q cup. But the bulldogs side looks more experienced with nrl stars, Redcliffe are always tough.

Frawley broke his foot so he’s no chance and seeing as Lewis and Smith haven’t played a game since the NRL season finished I don’t think they will play either.

will be a very good game, redcliffe have plenty of talent, been to most of their games this season,

redcliffe have a team that run hard straight can off load defend
1 trai fuller nifty fullback unpredictable he steps off both legs, good under high ball, plays whats in front of him
2,5 josh behagg the 2, if dogs do their home work they will attack his side of the field, always way infield never on his wing
3,4 stagg opacic very good centers, great defenders and attackers
6,7 halves can do it all best kicking game in qrl
8 10 11 12 13 stacked with toughness and talent, if dogs want to fight these bloke will fight to
9 jake turpin this kid is the real deal, very skill full ,great defender, has a great short kicking game...mog only ever gives him 47 minutes a game for some reason
redcliffe has a strong bench, always 3 forwards and 1 hooker forwards big strong tough,
jamil hopoate willprobably have his number 24 jersey on real character
toby rudolff the 11 signed by sharks, big strong fast and busts tackles

If Cleeland and Woolford play like they have been playing, we will win this one.
The biggest danger is the input from the officials.
