Fucking ridiculous. Setting a fine like this is very quickly going to have every club gunning for him out of the to job. He's just dug his own grave. There is no precedent like this and to jump from something like a 25,000 fine for similar nothing incidents to something akin to a multiple year breach of the salary cap without prior warning would mean the club will be able to appeal the fine in court anyway.

Me either. ***** can all go rot in hell. Sharks and Melbourne are going to get the green light to chat the cap in their own ways because they're finals bound and the NRL admin don't want the embarrassment of yet another poorly detected set of cap breaches go unnoticed, so they'll throw the book at is over shit that almost every club would be guilty of on mad Monday.

Bulldogs always cop it up the ass.

Bulldogs are targeted. They are targeted because they have a large middle eastern supporter base.

I am not middle eastern but it is clear as daylight these cocksuckers (nrl) have it against the dogs just for that reason. They wont admit it and never will.

Jewburg and co, go and choke on a big german knackwurst

Meh 250k is church change. - The Bulldogs are 3rd most valuable brand with 35 Mill and this include GayFL teams. Panthers at 1 and Collingwood at 2.

I find it strange that the club has 5 days to respond yet are having a press conference at 4pm this afternoon??? They must’ve considered their situation already and I would think to take it on the chin...

How much was Cronulla fined when Barba was busted racking up after the GF in 2016?
the club was not fined anything, they were given a choice:

Under the section relating to second contraventions, the Policy states: "After conferring with the Player, the Club must elect either of the following additional sanctions to be imposed on the Player:

"(1) a fine that is ten per cent (10%) of the net value of the Player's playing contract for that year, to be deducted from the contract payments owed to the Player by the Club;

(2) termination of the Player's playing contract."

Both outcomes will be much less palatable to Barba than the "release" he is said to have been granted. Barba's Cronulla contract is reportedly worth $800,000 a year, meaning he would cop an $80,000 hit to the hip pocket if he is terminated. Otherwise, the 27-year-old will have to suffer the indignity of being terminated, making the Sharks the third club at which he has failed to see out his contract.

$250k ... fuck me thats like ... 12.5 Kia Picantos! https://www.bulldogs.com.au/news/2018/09/06/kia-picanto-winner-announced/

Asipeli Fine should tell the NRL to "go get fucked". He's not contracted next year and probably off to ESL.

Bulldogs getting lots of love ... even from opposing supporters:
