and he's been sin binned twice for it, not like he hasn't been punished. leading with the head is not an issue, because you have to in driving tackles. He just needs to learn to get his head on the other side.
A sin bin not sufficient for the mess he has left those players in. Big punishment
not.....
Any coach who cares two hoots about his players tackling technique and the problems it causes should have had it sorted. Robinson has had after all since 2013 as Napa's ONLY first grade coach to address it. Perhaps Robinson does not care enough to do so as he likes the aggression shown by Napa.He was not happy when he was binned for the incident earlier this year and commented in the positive when he was found not guilty of the charge leveled at him.
Napa is a train wreck waiting to happen and one day if this is not fixed he will find himself in extremely serious trouble. He launches himself like a jumbo jet taking off to hit hard and inevitably high in an attempt to prove his toughness and making a statement as such.
Look at the types of tackles which are now banned in the game and a lot of those were not intentional but accidental; nonetheless they are now a no go zone and with good reason. He has been the provider of some of them aka the shoulder charge and banned for them.
Remember the Qld player who died after a shoulder charge back in 2015 after contact cause arterial bleeding due to a rupture?. The transgressor, Francis Molo suspended for eight weeks and the Broncos themselves held accountable by the coroner who presided over the investigation for not addressing his tackling style after to the incident because Molo was suspended a further two times for the same offence of a shoulder charge.
In the NRL’s Laws and Interpretations Guide, it states: “A player is guilty of misconduct if he… when affecting or attempting to affect a tackle makes contact with the head or neck of an opponent intentionally, recklessly or carelessly.”
