We just need to rebuild him....like RoboCop! The science is sound....
Some years there was a TV program where they rebuilt a person who was badly injured the actor who played the part was Lee Majors, Just a thought in regards to Foran.

I have Foran as a friend on snapchat, he has been posting videos of him getting his hammies stretched out. His hamstrings are again no doubt a lingering problem
Can you ask him what are the results of his lower back mri

If Maloney was only around the 700k mark what in hell were the Sharks paying him?
I don't know what they were paying him but around the time he went there I was hearing around $600K a season. The thing is Maloney negotiates his own contracts and so saves himself management fees but also means there are less people who can leak the info but my mail is very close to our side of the equation.

What doesn't foran have

As I said when we signed him that his body is totally stuffed and he cannot play at NRL level any more

His body was already stuffed in his last years at Manly and he also has mental problem all his career
Agree. It was pretty obvious when Foran was at the Warriors that he was done. Well obvious to everybody bar Hasler Castle and Dibb anyway.

His hamstring issues are only a consequence of the disc bulge in his lumbar spine; he has limited lateral movement through his hips & very poor trunk flexion/extension. Hence his ongoing hamstring problems. If he was a car he’d be an irreparable writeoff; problem being if the club made a claim they’d be sued for fraud as he was signed in this condition.

It was called the six million dollar man, how apt
After they rebuilt him he had super natural talent (which is what we need at the moment) however our $6m investment in Foran has only got us a wheel chair cripple.

Can't that be surgically fixed though?

Yes it can. Would require removal of the bulging disc and a fusion of the vertebrae to maintain stability of the spine. There are new implants which are disc replacements which the disc is removed and the implant acts like a spacer enabling more movement compared to a fusion. Still early days on those at it is new technology. Chris McQueen recently had a fusion for the same problem but in his neck

@jmaamary interesting :grinning:

Turnaround though? As in something that he could have in off season and be right for next season?

If he gets it done now. He will be ready to go November to get a full preseason in
Question is does he want to get it done. Sounds like a scary operation. If he can continue to get paid and not go under the knife then what is the motivation for him to risk a major operation.

It’s not a small operation but nothing radical. Pretty routine, good surgeons will do over a hundred of these procedures per year

Fair enough. I guess if it will give him a better quality of life post footy then it's a no brainer to get it done. If it makes no difference outside of footy then that is when he would have a decision to make.

What has he done?

He doesn't direct or lead the team and looks like he is playing injured every game. His body lets him down.

To make it simple, he isn't performing and a liability for us. In the real world you get sacked for underperforming and a liability.
