1. 1998 semi against Parramatta. Was lucky enough to be at that game and hearing Parra fans singing bring in the Broncos with about 15 mins to go. Was the best end to a game ive seen

2. 1995 GF against Manly. I was only 15 but i remember my manly supporting father not watching the end of the game and going out and cleaning the garage....

3. 2002 against Newcastle. Again i was lucky enough to be at that game. we were getting pumped the first half and to come back and win like that was awesome. Newcastle stadium was packed and i was with 2 Newcastle fans..gave them shit all the way back to Sydney
Still got my ticket from that 98 semi... Was sitting 15m out in the corner where the dogs scored all the points. Was 30m away from Polly scoring, saw Rocket Rod run towards me after Relf's miracle ball, watched the shift coming towards me for Talau to score and was right next to the Rock when he took that kick. Got goosebumps writing this, BEST GAME EVER! Well the end ofit.

We are a losing club with a bleak ten years so let's remember us being shit like this rubble of place deserves. 06 semi. 1998 grand final slaughter. 1994 massacre against Canberra
2012 to 2014 wasn't to bad... We were pretty dominant in those years and I'm pretty sure if we had a FB in 2013 and Ennis playing in 2014 it may have all been different.

But yeah its 14 actually, may become 16 years. Those are my 3 worst, if you don't consider the 2002 salary cap scandal and 2014 GF.

Now piss off, this is meant to be a positive thread!

Dragons v Dogs @ Kograh in 06. Such a tightly fought contest. Big hits all night. Holdsworth played well against his old club (I think he scored a double).
Barba scoring 4 against Canberra - last round in 2011.
04 Grand final (der)
Semi final v Melbourne in 04. Wow. I remember the olympics were on at the time - getting the paper the next day and rather than a 3-2-1 type voting for player of the match, it was gold silver bronze. Gold went to Shifty. Absolutely destroyed them. A masterclass the likes of which I have not seen of a halfback from our club since

hard to limit it to 3 moments and a lot of have already been mentioned... but off the top of my head -

* winning the the 1985 GF and the Mortimer brothers and their kids doing a victory lap around the SCG
* Preliminary final victory vs the Raiders in 1994 with Halligan kicking a field goal
* the 1995 finals run which saw us knock off the 2 glamour sides of the 90's, the Broncos and Raiders, and with the Raiders exacting revenge for the previous year's massacre in the GF, and then beating an awesome Manly side in the GF and holding them tryless... finals specialists
* 1998 Preliminary Final vs Parramatta... at 18-2 down, i was certain we were gone but to come back and against the Eels... incredible... i only wish Polla-Mounter's field goal attempt on the bell was successful --> would have made it the greatest 12 minutes of rugby league ever
* O'Meley and Bryce Gibbs clashing with Gibbs getting knocked out when trying to make a tackle
* our victory vs Brisbane in Brisbane in 2004... as good a regular season performance as we have ever displayed... and with Patten in the bin for 10 minutes and Tim Mander ref... an Origin atmosphere and yet we pumped a star-studded Broncos 46-18
* El Masri's sideline conversion against the Knights in 2002
* Barba in 2012... i enjoyed watching Barba that whole season as much as i enjoyed watching any Bulldogs player i have ever watched
* i forget the details now but there was a game in 2010(?) against the Roosters where we put 60+ on them including a try to Morris after a kick off which saw Martin Kennedy slip and cop a passed ball straight to the head which then got picked up by Morris who then scored
* Utai's match winner against the Roosters in 2003 after all that rubbish from them about how they were the best team of 2002
* Brent Sherwin's performance vs the Storm in 2004 finals... terribly underrated at his best and there he was vintage... made future legends (ie. Cameron Smith and Billy Slater) look second rate
* 2004 GF... 2001-2004 was hard being a Bulldogs fan as the media, public and rival fans really went overboard with the Doggie hate... literally had "experts" saying on TV that we were dead as a brand and would need to relocate in 2004... had Darren Lockyer make that "raper" joke... and yet by the end of the year we were champions... no other club in the NRL could have endured and prevailed against such pressure... the club is true steel as compared to the tin other clubs have proven to be (eg. Eels)
* i'm being bad with this one but Terry Lamb knocking Ellery Hanley out in the 1988 GF --> whatever was needed to win, Lamb would do
* Steve Mortimer playing as a substitute in the 1988 GF after having suffered a broken arm(?) earlier in the season... it was hard to imagine not watching him anymore after that... the greatest to have played for our club
* just watching Geoff Robinson run into players with reckless abandon
* Nigel Vagana scoring 5 tries vs the Rabbits
* Andrew Ryan climbing on and slipping on the bobcat at his last home game
* the sea of fans celebrating Hazem's last game
* Lamb returning for the 1996 season after the perfect send off with the 1995 GF victory because the club needed him after the ARL players broke away

great moments indicate a great club

Was that round 1 or 2 in 2009?? We smashed Manly
Round 1. I remember that. I'm sure Goodwin scored on debut as well that night... unless I'm thinking of goal kicking.

I must've been sitting next to you in 98. I even remember when we were coming into the ground hearing the cheers for the reserve grade game where we did exactly the same thing. Duncan McRae scored 2 tries and kicked the goals to win on the bell. We went to Coogee Bay Hotel after the game and got so smashed. One of the best days of my life.

You reckon the people that left early to beat the traffic are still burning?

1. 1967 Grand final vs Rabbits. 1st game of rugby league I ever watched. I was living in Wagga at the time but my families origins where Lakemba so I wanted the Berries to win. They went so close. Supported them ever since. I later found out I went to the same high school as Greg Brentnall and the Mortimer brothers which further strengthened my support for the Bulldogs. They were a few years behind me. I didn't come across them at all.
2. 1979 finals series. I think we finished 5th. 5 Team final series at the time. We beat Wests, Cronulla and Parramatta to make Grand final. Down something like 16 nil at half time. Went close to winning in the 2nd half. The football played during that series was so exciting. The Mortimer and the Hughes Brothers at their best.
3. 1980 Grand final which we won. The climax obviously Greg Brentnall's high kick down field which Steve Gearin caught on the full and dived over for a try in the one movement.
The 1979 and 80 seasons obviously "The Entertainers ' era. I am fairly sure all the players from this time were iether local juniors or had been brought from outside the club at a young age and brought up through the lower grades. There were no big name imports from other clubs that I can recall. There have been many other highlights over the years but these are the 3 that standout.

Fuck I loved your post.
My dad was at the SCG selling pies at the 67 Grand final. Very tough but he was there the week before when Canterbury ended St George's 11 year run.
we also lived in Wagga 68 to 71 my brother was born at Calvery Hospital..
Dad took us in to the first two games of the 79 final series when we toweled up Wests & Cronulla. One of those games when driving into the car park Geoff Robinson came hobbling past us on crutches I wound down the window and dad asked "how we going to go today Robbo" .....Robbo says "fucken smash them mate, win no problem" and they did!!!
Fuck did I jump out of the bean bag at 2 Lister St, Winston Hills when Steve Gearin scored that try.
Thanks for posting.

1. All 6 Premierships in my lifetime.
2. The cheers and chants I could hear from my grandparents place in Belmore (near BSG).
3. Sleepovers as kids at my grandparents place, before walking to BSG in our Dogs gear to watch three grades of footy.

I seem to remember we lost both our starting props through that series. I am not totally sure but I think John Coveny and Greg Cook were the two bought up from reserves and they ended up doing a great job for us. We lived at Turvey Park and I went to Turvey Park Primary then Mt Austin High.
