I have gone through my archives and what wonderful memories we have witnessed watching the amazing speed and skill Ewan McGrady had and his combination with Terry Lamb. Google his name and watch his highlights and you know what I mean.

I just hope we can find a halfback of his calibre.

I remember watching that season where he just hissed the comp and won the rothman’s medal as a little kid.... I was a little kid, I mean... not him.

Really set the comp alight that year. It was awesome to watch.

Thanks for posting. I watched his highlights. A pleasure to watch. Speed and backing up. Things we definitely lack at the moment. Great combination with Terry Lamb,

Brilliant in attack but fuck he was a shit defender. Couldn't tackle a three legged turtle.

Actually I'm selling Graeme Hughes commentary short. It was a combination of McGrady and Hughes screaming "McGrady McGrady! !!!!!!!" that got me to league.

and the family name lives on.. Young Brayden and Glenn both got snapped up by the Panthers (which says something given they have an Academy of Talent) on 2 year contracts.

Sadly Brayden ruptured his ACL on the weekend and is gone for season though.

For a few short years he was brilliant, culminating in winning the 1991 Rothmans medal. Then just seemed to lose it. Like some of the other Blackfullas from the bush, he possibly struggled with the limelight.

I wasn't born into the blue & white due to being a Qlder BUT the reason I am a dogs supporter is because of Ewan McGrady!
