Performance Based Contracts

Surely we could sign players like Woods and Foran on performanced based contracts. 50% of what we signed them for with clear what needs to be done weekly. If they reach the goals full payment for the week if not base salary is paid. Not hard to say 1 try assist or over 100m run etc.

then it would be a terrible situation, foran needs his try assist so he doesnt make the correct pass and instead tried the cutout pass for the assist

woods needs 2 more offloads so he tries it and turns it over etc

A little place called the Rugby League Player Association would not allow this.

It seems to work the other way you buy a player on their past perfamance but they fail to deliver we have a few of these. Maybe out clauses I’m not too sure but seems to suck we got stuck with an Origin / Australian player that won’t be playing rep this year to poor form.

If the cap goes up lets use it to our advantage rather than bump up players salaries with it.
