Have we learnt anything over the years out of Sacrificing the CAPTAINS ???
We don't need a genius to work out the cap is the reason...BUT Why the Captains ???
2004 Steve Price to keep the likes of Sonny Money Williams and Willy Mason who eventually dumped us.
2014 Michael Ennis to keep Tony Williams, T. Browne, Lloyd Perrett and others who all were average at best.
2017 James Graham to keep the likes of Aden Tolman, Greg Eastwood and many unnecessary rejects.
These 3 captains led the team with Pride and Passion in our club and jersey.
What kind of a message have we been passing to the rest of our squads ???
The writing is on the wall...Sadly it isn't good !!!
THIS MADNESS HAS GOT TO STOP !!!

Whist I don’t like it, it makes sense.
Generally your captain is one of the better players in the team, and if you're in cap trouble and need to release players, no one wants your shit players.

Wouldn't of happened in Terry Lamb's day. I think it's gutless and disrespectful to cut away a club captain.
If the club has doubts on whether they are going to keep the player then they should never promote him to captain. One should never make captain at too young an age either.

Only Graham left due to a salary cap problem the others left for money or a contract with more years on it then we were offering...

They left because they weren't offered enough to stay. We dont value our captains highly enough anymore.

You forgot Frank Pritchard, Tolman was the only one who survived the captain curse.

Ennis said that after he was booted out , but beforehand he stated that he wanted to retire at the club even under Des's stupid coaching

Ennis should thank his lucky stars he was moved on. He would never have achieved a premiership otherwise.

FYI Price left cause he took the money & ran. He had had enough of being the face & voice of the salary cap & then Coffs Harbour scandals. Despite the Dogs paying for his tertiary education &. Little publicised poor management of personal finances. He walked out on the club he wasn’t sacrificed !
Now he’s baaaaack!!!

Facts are...
* Price...Reported he had signed for $400 thousands a season with the Warriors "wrong" it was $600 thousands, I knew about it even before the Warriors got caught, according to the source had we paid him $600 thousands we would have lost Williams and Mason.
* Ennis...Had a year to go but was asking for contract extension and we were not giving it so he asked for a release and got it.
* Pritchard...Had a year left on his contract and didn't want to leave but Has-been Hasler pushed him out he took the ESL offer.
* Graham...Who doesn't know his story ?
* Tolman...He is a defender every team needs but not a captain material, he is way over paid and can't see any other club making our mistake
