Mate he doesn’t even contest the ball in the air anymoreTrue but I still don’t think that Montoya is all to blame.

What’s your point?Mate he doesn’t even contest the ball in the air anymore
I believe Lewis won't get a shot until he re-signs with us. By re-signing first before debut, it will not allow his price to jump up and we will then be able to keep him for the period of the contract.Totally agree. Wanted lewis on that right side for ages even started a thread on him weeks ago
did you see Lee stand there like a spud yesterday and let the try in? Nearly as bad as Montoyas efforts.we dropped Lee for bad defence and still the right is just as bad ???????
What I’m saying is if you played Rugby leagueWhat’s your point?
All I’m saying is it’s not only Montoya to blame.
You can’t just mark your man and let the centre deal with it, Hoppa rushing in also causes an over lap with 2 on 1, yes I agree Montoya gets it wrong and struggles to read defence but he shouldn’t be in that position to start with. What I’m saying is if you played Rugby league
You mark your wing no matter what he is offering the opposition teams a free lane way to the try line the opposition have 2 options throw it wide to the unmarked winger or kick the ball through behind him in the corner for them to score it has been happening for the last 6 weeks he should have learnt by now
Stay on your man let the inside guys worry about the ones they need to mark he stays out the inside guys will soon learn but he cannot read a game not first grade material
It doesn’t matter you mark your man noYou can’t just mark your man and let the centre deal with it, Hoppa rushing in also causes an over lap with 2 on 1, yes I agree Montoya gets it wrong and struggles to read defence but he shouldn’t be in that position to start with.
The centre will soon realise he is not doing his job it’s not rocket scienceIt doesn’t matter you mark your man no
matter what and especially if it is the winger
he has got no idea
You have no idea.. and Montoya was 19 three years ago mateActually, I just had a quick look at the tackle efficiency of Montoya v a lot of players in the reggies and he is still better defensively than nearly all of them. So it seems we don't have a lot of options. Cerruto is an exception although he plays FB he is big, quick and seems defensively better (statistically). Maybe he is next in line, but Olive and Lewis aren't an upgrade defensively. Ironically Montoyas defensive stats are on par with BMoz and Josh AC. Only Nightingale is clearly a better defensive winger. Doesn't excuse his poor attack though.
Would be happy with thatI believe Lewis won't get a shot until he re-signs with us. By re-signing first before debut, it will not allow his price to jump up and we will then be able to keep him for the period of the contract.
Wow. Got me there. Didn't check his DOB. I'll give you that but what is it that I have no idea about? The stats are the stats I didn't have to have an idea to read them....unless somehow you think he is a blindingly fast attacking winger who has been unlucky in only scoring 2 tries this year....You have no idea.. and Montoya was 19 three years ago mate
Jackson has more than twice as many defensive errors this season!!That’s true don’t know what happened to hoppas speed he looks slow and lethargic.
Something has to happen on that right edge don’t know if to shit Hoppa to the wing , replace Montoya with another winger, put JJ at centre while defending.
Don’t know what options we have.
I have mentioned that Hoppa a foran should take the blame as much as Montoya but for some reason people just blame Montoya.Jackson has more than twice as many defensive errors this season!!
Also reading your comments about the right edge defence you haven't once mentioned the overlaps created when the opposition is passing right to left because our forwards have been caught bunched in the middle.
Or the scrum against Penrith where the lock was so slow to break Penrith ran an easy overlap play.
It is certainly not only Hopoate or even Montoya contributing to tries being scores on our right edge.
Ok if you say so.It doesn’t matter you mark your man no
matter what and especially if it is the winger
he has got no idea
You are comparing nsw cup and first grade stats and saying the ressies are no better... do you seriously see no problem in that?? And you say he is defensively on par with other wingers based on stats when we all know he isn’t as good a defender as most wingers. And have you forgotten about his attack? He should be dropped for his attack, the kid is dumb.Wow. Got me there. Didn't check his DOB. I'll give you that but what is it that I have no idea about? The stats are the stats I didn't have to have an idea to read them....unless somehow you think he is a blindingly fast attacking winger who has been unlucky in only scoring 2 tries this year....
Not sure if wingers are marking the opp winger these days. May be have not been for years. Their position would have been determined by their centre, i.e they follow their centre. The centres in return follow their inside men. What I’m saying is if you played Rugby league
