Mate I've done some research on the bloke, people have made the bloke look like he's a bad bloke. He's actually done really well after hitting rock bottom back in 2009. I've heard he loves the club, a very passionate supporter. The bloke comes from a very good family as well which I know of. He's become a successful businessman and for a bloke to start from scratch and become successful not many people can do that. Maybe there are people out there better than him but he's put his hand up and got chosen fair and square. He shouldn't cop all this bullshit. The media are trying bring our club down we need to stick together and support our club. If the board doesn't perform than they won't be re elected. I wanted dib to stay but Anderson won she deserves her shot so let her build what she thinks is best. If She fails then she's gone in the next election.
Agree totally. James bleeds blue and white. He is a honest man. Very successful business man. He played a large role in getting the Anderson team back in control. He is totally being played as the villan by media and others in this forum.
He has made some mistakes, one which is being blown out of all proportion. Go spend an hour or 2 talking to him next time your at Belmore.

Whatever the result, once announced, I hope both factions can put their petty differences aside and get to work making the bulldogs the powerhouse we should be.

Agree time to move on. The people have voted time to let the new ticket have a crack. Results will determine if they are successful. If they fail then they 2 should be moved on at the end of there tenure.

I wish the Anderson ticket all the best. I believe they were the better option than the previous board and voted accordingly . So did the members of the football club and leagues club.

I’m happy with the changes so long as it refocuses us into a powerhouse club. Here are the Sydney clubs that have won premierships since we did in 2004;

West Tigers
Manly x 2
St George
Roosters
Souths
Sharks

We were very unlucky not to jag a premiership in 12 or 14.

You have no clue. Both sides are playing dirty politics. Anderson isn't trying to run everyone out. Dib and Peponis have been conniving in what they did in trying to change the constitution to save their own buts. Why change the leagues club structure thats been in place for many years some 48 hours before the vote? Did they do it for the love of the club or out of spite?

Ennis has quickly become a bigger mouth than gallen and says more stupid things than roach.
How many first grade games did you play? My guess is none. Ennis has a good understanding of the game and reads the game well. Hes earned the right to offer expert opinion.

That's the million dollar question. He's served a long time with Peponis and Steve Mortimer, and pretty certain the Coorey's have strong political ties to the ALP (which would possibly include Iemma).

Based on that you would think he'd side with Peponis/Mortimer/Iemma/Kanaan/GCoorey and form a majority.

Interesting times ahead because he has the balance of power.

It's a smart move. It means regardless who got in, there is still 100% accountability for anyones actions.

So ask yourself why they were so pissed off and vocal about Iemma and Kanaan's appointment? Because they know that regardless of having a majority, if there were any agendas at play, or favours in the pipeline, they are now muted because Iemma / Kanaan will pick up on them.

In addition to this, the only way either can be removed before their term is getting member votes to hold an EGM, and even then there would need to be a vote of no confidence by the members against those 2 candidates, citing why there is no confidence. The danger in this is that they could very easily swing the same voters, and vote no confidence towards any of the 4 endorsed by Football club.

If the Football Club Board were smart, they'd ask anyone they endorsed with a shady history to step down quietly. That would prevent a potential backlash.

The more embers you leave sitting around, the more chance you have of starting a fire.

With Iemma and Kanaan they wouldn't have had a majority, surely you understand that?

Sorry mate you've got it wrong. Peponis relies on a 2017 audit/review report which recommended change at board level. Why then do Peponis and Dib effect the change in 2018 and 48 hours before the vote? You cant sugar coat it. It was done to save their own hides and to protect their prviliged lives. I don't care who they brought in. It was conniving.

Why is EGM needed to remove two independents when they were appointed at a normal board meeting?

A very good question. Why did Peponis and Dib seek legal advice before they made the appointments?

I don't have have to play 1st grade to have an opinion. I'm guessing you dont have a talk back show , so where is you qualification to give your opinion.
