The Roosters have too much class in their ranks to play as poor as last week in consecutive weeks. I'm anticipating a tough night at the office. Just feel that our lineup isn't good enough.

With that lack of potency on our bench atm, we really need to be getting bigger minutes out of Klemmer.
Klem played the first 33 mins and then came back on with 25-30 to go.

I know you guys think Marley is arrogant, and maybe he is a bit, but he makes a lot of sense IMO.

Bmoz is well past his best, and with the standard in wingers being set these days he is well down the list. He isn't shit by any standards, but he is probably only a bit above average.

I agree too that Fine is not a replacement for Eastwood and if he does come in it will cause a reshuffle and I am not too sure that is the best move. But I assume we cannot pick Tualau because he was not named right?

Still very concerned about our bench. Has to be one of the worst in the comp at the moment.
In regards to Bmoz, no one is suggesting he is still the best winger in the world, but he was, and he is still world class. If you put him in any international side tomorrow he would not let anyone down. And in my opinion there is no way he has played a season too long. Nor can you really say this after one game.
The mozzes really suffered with desball as they never got any quality ball, so how about people back them both to improve this year rather then writing them off and saying they are shit. Especially after one game.

All due respect to Bmoz but the game is going to move passed him very quickly the next 24 months

Sounds about right for him. Lol was it you that posted in another thread that you have studied this type of phsychology?
probably just one of the millions of facebook quote professionals struggling to articulate intelligence with their own words:sweatsmile:

Except i'm not bagging him over letting that try in? I simply stated he isn't world class like some people seem to stupidly think and that he's an average winger these days. Fact.
How exactly is that a fact? Sounds more like your opinion so stop saying it is a fact.
In my opinion to call bmoz an average winger is ridiculous. He may have lost a yard of pace but I would still take him over more than 50% of wingers going around.

Because it's not an opinion, it's a fact. Anyone that honestly thinks Brett is up there with the truly elite wingers clearly doesn't watch enough footy and is wrong. He once was arguably the best in the world, these days he isn't.
There you go again, your opinion isn't a fact. No one doubts he isn't the best winger as he arguably once was but he isn't "average at best" either

Pity they didn't name Rhyse Martin to replace him... then we'd have a goal kicker as well.

He played 48 minutes mate.
So he must have played the last 15 mins of the second half because he didnt leave the field until the 33rd. Kind of surprising he got 7 mins before half time, plus the break, and then wasnt brought back on for another 25 mins into the second half. So thats almost a 45 min break. Definitely wierd........

Bulldogs: Were impressive despite the final score last week and will go into round two largely unchanged. Bench forward Greg Eastwood has been named at lock in the reserve grade team with Renouf Toomaga a chance to make the 17.

Btw how refreshing is it to finally have a coach that drops players. Des would have had both Tolman and Eastwood start last week. Plus for sure would have extended Eastwoods contract for another 3 years.

I think there a plenty of wingers better than him now but imo he's still a very good winger. Good enough to play Origin last year anyway, which is a pretty good standard of league.

Is he "world class"?. Well technically he probably is, a lot of wingers in the world you know lol. He still is one of the top wingers in the world, just not the very top of NRL standard. See we all win yay go the Dogs!!!!! Lol

If fine is up, we should go:

Fine edge
Rfm edge
Jacko lock.

What I suspect will happen is:
Jacko edge
Rfm edge
Fualolo lock

I do not think fine has the starch to play lock.

Fualalo and Tolman can play on the edge? Lol. Just because thet can, doesn't mean they should. Fine isn't a specialist middle forward so why replace a midle forward with an edge forward when we were skinny through the middle last game? Tualau or To'omaga and the better choices.
Not skinny through the middle, soft through the middle.
I actually like the look of the bench. I’ve been dreaming of a more mobile pack the the dogs since, well , since hasler showed up.
A couple of kilos makes fuck all difference. If tolman, Elliot and fine go hard. They’re all big enough to handle themselves in the middle.

Hope
To see To’omaga finally get a run.

Would be happy if fine does too.

Just really want to see tolman or Elliott out and tualau in fucking week to week!

Bench of tualau To’omaga jmk and whoever else fine/Elliott/tolman is what we need to keep impact

It may well be but hasn't he actually named the same side as last week? From what I gather this thread seems to be based on what TK thinks not what Pay has done. His team from last week was a good start and I'm not concerned if he goes with it again this week to give those blokes a chance to prove their form was right/wrong but I'll save my powder until we get a few weeks in and see what he does.
