I can only assume dymock has fallen into that guilty by association sort of basket, having been under hasler for quite a few years and they wanted someone new to come in.
I think Dymock would be best advised to seek an assistant role at another STRONG club. That's one area where Pay had an advantage being an assistant at Melbourne.

Happy with Pay. Now we can officially start the rebuild. Hopefully good times ahead.
Cortic and sezar will help our rebuilding grately. We can even let go Morrisx2 Eastwood and tolman to accomodate it :p

Sezar at 80%+ conversion, plus a big general play boot to take pressure off Foran. And cotric an 18 year old with 16 NRL tries and a specialist fullback  yes please :p lol

Possibility of it happening though it 0 but I can always dream :p lol

Up the Pay

May as well go to another club Dymock, Dogs won't ever give you the head coach gig. Try the Titans maybe.

Lol 2 year contract. He's going to need 4 just to get rid of what Des has left him and start fresh.
This team will be Des' team with a new coach regardless of how you look at it.

Regardless of what happens, I don't expect any sort of miracle, it'll still be Des' fault if we continue to fail.

Is Potter officially a part of the coaching staff or not?

Pay comes well credentialled. We can only hope that he brings some mongrel back into the team. Can't remember the last time we ground another side into the dust. I'm sick of watching us defend a two point lead for half a game.

I still feel bad for Dymock. His career up to date is no worse then pay. Pay has a very bad assistant coaching record. He is at under 40% winning. If we crusify jimmy for being under des why not blast pay for making 1 finals in 7 years across the nrl and esl?

For mine dymock is so well respected at the club and put in the time. He has been back for 13 years as a defensive coach, attacking coach, forwards coach and assistant coach. Fair enough under Hasler he had no input so you can't blame him for performances. He had as much input as castles and dib which was minimal.

Let's not forget he got us within a win or 2 from the top 8 in 11.

If the players came in and supported pay. If dymock didn't want the job. If we interviewed a few candidates and pay was the best I can understand and take it.

But if the players wanted dymock or even if he wanted it and wasn't given the chance then it's another mistake by the club. Let's not forget dymock has a 60% official win ratio in the nrl (ok he has been an nrl coach for 2 mins). If you believe the talk that he took over the last 3 games it's 8 wins from 11 games.

I feel we disrespected dymock and in a rebuilding stage we didn't give him a chance. We could have given him 2 years and if it didn't work out bring pay in (pay should have gone to the uk to prove himself as a head coach).

The closet to the club and the players is dymock. Unless we need an outsider to shake things up a bit or Sunoco didn't want the role then we dropped the ball in my opinion.
I suggest you talk to the players present and over the last 3 seasons before saying they supported Dymock. I like Jimmy but unfortunately he sat on his hands the last 3 seasons and became part of the demise

Dymock got too comfortable with the players and became more of their mate than anything else.
Unfortunately for Jimmy, by doing this he was digging his own grave and it came and bit him on the arse.
When you are on a coaching team, your job is serious and proffesional.....not mateship!

True. Dymock needed to seize the position when it was apparent Des was gone. Dymock would have heard the news first, and should have stood up immediately; instead, he waited for the media to invite him. His lack of confidence is probably not what we need if we're to bring back the Dogs of War.

Cotric is a big boy and he is still growing.....it's only a matter of time before he ends up in the 2nd row.

It would be pointless giving a rookie anything longer than 2 years being untested. The leg up that Pay will have is that he (Des) failed to get anything good out of the players so yes it is Des's team BUT no-one realised any potential under Des. Bit of coaching and practising some basic skills again and we will look completely different. Lot's of other inherited gifts from Des though in salary cap etc but I am truly happy to have said goodbye to Desball.
