Speaking on Triple M's Dead Set Legends, Triple M and the Australian's Brent Read has revealed that Des Hasler could be forced out of the Bulldogs very soon.

"There was talk that he may be gone today," Ready said.

"That hasn't happened.

"I've made a few calls today on it.

"Ray Dib actually told us last night (at the Bulldogs' awards night) that there will be a review and confirmed that it would go ahead.

"He said that at this stage there is no decision on Des Hasler.

"The sense I got today ringing around was that Des would still struggle to keep his job at this club, and there may be a decision by the end of next week."

As the coaching circus continues, another candidate has popped up as a possibility of replacing Des at the Bulldogs helm.

"The name I'm hearing is maybe Michael Maguire," he said.

"Dean Pay is obviously the guy who has been linked to that footy club. And everyone has assumed that Dean Pay is going to get that job.

"I'm hearing that potentially, it could come down to a shoot-out between Michael Maguire and Dean Pay."
