thanks for the update KE.

I never mentioned this personal story to anyone here (not even to Assman) but i will let yous all know in good time. The part in bold in your comment has so much enormity and such a positive for Eddie's health moving forward, I cant put it in words even though i am not a doctor. I am sure doctors would have been super excited to see both the new heart and Eddies body are mutually accepting each other.

Great news once again!
And that's why I am humbled by doctors.

hahahaha @ASSASSIN first post ... I honestly did not expect you back so fast!!

Were those images you posted of your new heart arriving? Also I noticed Bed #13 ... :D

I have words, but everyone else has stolen them...

To you personally - This is a life changing moment, and proof that good things happen to good people. I am so happy that such a good, genuine bloke, has received a new gift of life.

To your family - Life begins now. Kicking a soccer ball around, enjoying a sunny day, having a family picnic, getting a job and with a hell of a story to tell. It's like someone hit the reset button on the last 5 (or however long its been) years of your life.

To your friends - They now get to spend far more time with you enjoying your company, and experiencing what a great bloke you are.

To the donor family - your gift to Ed is one that has no monetary value. Like a priceless artifact, the gift your son has given Ed, is priceless, and I cannot thank your son enough for deciding to prolong the life of another. Reference The Kennel in their letter, and show just what their donation has given.

To the medical staff - I always grew up thinking that superheroes wore capes. Clearly I was wrong. You have given a family new life, and all his friends so many more good memories to rewrite. THANK YOU .. so very very much.. Like the organ, money cannot put a price on the work you all do... I take my hat off to each and every one of you.

On another note... somewhere up there... Pete is looking down with the biggest smile on his face.

Is that right @Dropbear junior ??

Great to hear you're on the mend Assassin.

I haven't been frequenting TK a lot lately, but I'm sure the whole Kennel is pumped that you're on the road to recovery.

You've always been one of the members on here that is the "heart" and soul of the place and makes me pumped to support the Doggies.

Above all, you've always seemed like a great bloke in general, who calls a spade a fucking shovel.

All the best on your recovery, you will have a a million and one thoughts and prayers coming your way.

its an amazing era we live in where doctors can peform miracles and help untold amounts of people's lives, and they are faceless hero's.
and then you get a kuntrashian that slurps on a black cock and makes world headlines.
This is poetry. You should copyright it.

thanks for the great news update on Eddie's health KE

i get goose bumps thinking about a heart which was in the body of a person since the day he/she was born. That heart grew with that person and kept pumping blood in that persons arteries and veins non stop through out his/her entire life, then that person suddenly loses his/her life and that heart stops pumping for the first time since it was "made" in a mother's womb. That heart could have ended up with that body in the ground or cremated along with the body, but this heart is given another opportunity , another body and a new life and at the same time that heart has given life to a another body.

The donor person may have died in the eyes of the world but he lives through Eddie now. Such a beautiful thing, let this sink in for a moment and enjoy the goose bumps even in this warm / humid weather.

Zee, so beautifully said.

Life in the overall scheme of things is fleeting and sometimes all too short. God bless those that made the decision to allow one of our own a better chance at life. I hope that they take solace and comfort in the knowledge that their choice will enable not only Ed a happier healthier life but their loved one will live on in some way for the greater good. It really does give me goose bumps and a feeling that even on the saddest of days their is some good that can come from the darkest moment.

You have reduced me to tears. The very best photo you could ever post and you have obviously not lost your sense of humour.

You have been through the unimaginable and it will be a while before you will be firing on all cylinders but I know that the day will come when we can all meet again and help you celebrate this new chapter of your life.

All my love Ed and only onwards and upwards from here on in.

.We do know the heart came from interstate and it received a two police car escort (highway patrol with "urgent medical police escort" written up top) from Sydney airport. Took roughly ten minutes to come from the airport to St Vinnies.

The heart can only stay out of a body for six hours before it loses oxygen. Eddie had it at the five hour mark.
Thank god it wasn't via Tiger airways. Lmao

Im fukken stoked for Ed, you and the whole family. We all knew deep down that this was gonna be the only outcome.

Hopefully this is indicative of our lot finding a heart as well and win that trophy. Lol. Either way, 2017 is already a good year.

Yes it is ! Assassin has given me the motivation and belief that where there's a will there really is a way.

He fought a massive battle to get to where he is.
I mean try losing significant weight when you can't do any cardio , you cant take slimming drugs , drink caffeine or smoke!! its almost fucking impossible but he did it ! Just a champion .

Like I mentioned I was feeling crap the other day . Like the worst I think I've ever been .. I contemplated writing on the 'R u ok' thread but I was so dispondent that I couldn't even find an ounce of drive to do it. (Its a really long story) but seeing Assassin smash the barriers has really given me back my drive to move forward .

People like him (and others on here going through tough times which im not gonna mention coz theyre probably too humble) are truly amazing. Yet here we are - complaining about minute and insignificant things that really have no bearing on our actual lives. I feel like a prick sometimes when I'm having a shitty day and cant appreciate what i have.
Anyways, im sad to hear you're going through some shitty times wolfie. I really hope it gets better for you. Always remember, youre not alone.

You know bro all problems are important..they are all relative.. just gotta make sure they don't take a hold of you..That's why it's always good to talk about em and find a solution..regardless of their perceived 'insignificance'. :grinning:
