This is why Parra have still retained John Folau for 2017 season. They are hoping the family connection will lure Izzy.. however as Izzy is signed with ARU till 2018, he would have to get out of his current contract (or leave a year early), if Parra want Izzy for 2018.

I don't think it will happen with Parra (at least not at the moment). Reduced cap space in 2017, already signed a number of backs, signed some big $$$ players (Frankie P, etc), and resigned a few players on $$$$ (e.g Corey Norman).

How I see it happening... either he'll sign in 2018 after his ARU contract (and with Parra having a full cap again and not paying out any guys like Hoppa still) OR Folau will go elsewhere (Roosters).

There's not a snowballs chance in hell he'll be playing for Parra in 2017, and very unlikely in 2018 either.

We have a hooker the problem is he is restricted from doing what a hooker is supposed to do.
We need a new half back, we need a full time full back and we need to get rid of the players that are completely useless and arent improving such as Eastwood.
What we need to do is stop picking up washed up has beens and actually go after up and coming stars like we used to.
Picking up Folaou would be like re signing Tony Williams. Its just like the time we signed Hoppa and every idiot thought "oh wow genius! Now we should be scoring points!" Now I've lost count on how many people are biting their toungs.

I wouldn't have signed with rugby def not. Rugby League made Israel Folau, he showed no loyalty to the game and didn't even come back after spending 2 years in afl doing sweet fuk all and being overpaid. It's not as if he couldn't have made over a mill with endorsements in league.
From a dogs standpoint, you would be paying overs just for his marketability. He's not worth the price tag.
