There is only one way to find out if they aren't up to it. Give them another two years with a different structure, give them the freedom give them full control in the attacking zone and lets see what happens.

We could of had a shot at maloney as well, we passed up on everyone.
You would have got shot down for that suggestion cause he's a speed hump....and as if Reynolds isn't a speed hump.

Most of our players are speed bumbs, we rarely dominate anyone anymore. At least with Maloney you've got a kicking game and a good goal kicker.

I guess because the coaching staff thought Mybe would grow into the role.
It's clear now he is not a top quality halfback and will not be.
Who will they get as halfback for next season?

Hasler persists with the style because he doesn't have the balls to tell players like Mbye or Reynolds to go. He is staying loyal and hoping they come good. If he had faith in their ability then why play this forwards style. It started in 2012 due to the weakness in our halves: Reynolds and Keating. LOL how we got to the final with that pairing I will never know
But where was this style when he was at Manly?
Was mentioned on here not long ago that if we were to let Des go, the next club that picked hem up would see the hardest taskmaster, etc,
What does that say about our board, Raelene excluded, as we know how that one goes.

I think we should get rid of everyone including the coach and build a team around

1. Mbye
2. Bmoz
3. Brenko Lee
6. Kerr
7. A fucking halfback
8. Klemmer
10. Kas
11. Jackson
12. Rfm

He had so much quality at Manly. Orford, DCE, Foran and then Lyon who could slot in to cover injuries. Brett Stewart at fullback. There set plays were so good to watch back then slick execution, we don't have the players capable of that. Can't see Des getting rid of Reynolds let alone Mbye. He will stick loyal with them, forcing Reynolds out would turn so many fans and people from with in the club against him. We are stuck with him.

Halfback wasnt even mbyes regular position in the lower grades. Would of been better off at center where he could use his pace.

The problem is he doesn't want to play centre. He wanted to play in the halves to get the big bucks.

We've given Des the keys to the ranch. He has set his teeth in and if he goes we lose alot.. Recruiters (good riddance) and players.

The best way for the board to rectify this situation is to say "you need to change your game plan" and keep pestering and get players to do the same.

Or we could sack him. And as I pointed out, another club will pick him up. At this point Des will be smart enough to not blow half his cap on fat forwards and play like a normal footy team
