Mate ribs are brutal. Contact like football on it will kill. Don't think even the magic needles would help to much.

problem is if the condition gets worse in the next few games then he will be done. Teams will target his ribs.

I had a cracked rib once and it hurt like hell. At another time I had a broken rib that for whatever reason didn't move at all and there wasn't any pain at all.

Buggered if I know how it works but that's what happened to me.
