I thought BMoz was ok...

Rona. .. now he was rubbish. Been a while since I last saw a winger get caught out of position so easily.
Its only his 8th game of first grade from what I read, he still has abit too learn he is like most young guns alot of attack but defence still needing work

Kicking a dead horse mate,
Some people just wanna save players or replace them or what ever, when ever we lose,

They seem to be incapable of comprehending our TEAM as a whole played poor for 65 minutes of that game.

Some people just want to single out individuals in a team sport.

It's been the same here on the kennel for years, I doubt it will ever change,

All you can do is smile and wave, just smile and wave
Haha top work Skippy. Smile and wave....

I was excited to have a speedster at the back to save more tries, but he's not a miracle worker and Segeyaro is pretty quick too. That's the only try I can remember he may have done better.

Anyway I'm more than happy with his first game at fb for us. Set the park alight when we started to play with some energy.

Well said. It has been one game and that was in a shitty team performance.

He will improve.

B Mozzle was good today I thought!

Gees he has some pace to burn though :grinning:

Well in that case we should be playing Thompson / Stanley on that wing until Rona can perform in NSW Cup.

Rona will need to have a blinder against Parra because the week after Loko is available, and could come straight into first grade on that wing.

The whole team failed to launch for 70 minutes of that game but in true kennel fashion we must find someone to blame. Why not blame the whole team for allowing Penrith to push them around, run circles around them and keep them under constant pressure for 70 minutes?

His D wasn't the best but I was more than happy with his attack the way he was hanging around Kas was encouraging. Finally we have someone with real speed.

Give him time to get his timing and eye in for FB, it is a different position you know?

Barba was shit defensively at first.
As his confidence grows in the position, he'll get better.

He will learn it.

Barba was terrible when he first started, then he was pulling off try savers like a 13yo watching porn.

Pretty much, also BMorris isn't some hyped up player he is a season international rep player who can defend on the wing very well he just needs some more time to adjust which he will.

B Morris was our best player yesterday. Could not have been happier with his performance. The rest of the time on the other hand, not so much.

Why can't we forget the negatives and remember the fact that we now have a fullback that is capable of scoring some cracker tries??? Who gives a flying sh1t if his defense isn't up to your standards? He had no right to score that try yesterday and Sam perrett wouldn't have even gone close..

It is round 1 ladies and gents, keep calm and watch bmoz' game improve over the remainder of the season. I guarantee you it'll be fun to watch ;)

BMozzle was fine...

It was Rona and Perrett (who should know better), that disappointed me the most.

Our centres barely saw any ball, Perrett was caught out multiple times but decent in the air. Rona was in no mans land for one try, and ended up with a sloppy attempt to tackle. Should they have known better? I believe YES. Yes new club, new attacking structure (supposidely), etcetc, but tackling and positional play 101 should be drilled into you before you make the move to first grade. It is inexcusable to get caught out so badly in defence.

Heres hoping the next game or two irons out the problems. We can't "do the same as last year", because if we do the same thing, we get the same result. Only difference is this year many other sides are stronger, and last year it was literally a field goal that snuck us into the 8. We lose one of those 1 point wins, and we miss the 8!

I said before the season his positioning at fb is very poor...but hey most people shot me down here. No doubt he will improve as the season goes on but he is hardly the great fb most people talked him up to be.
So the ridiculously confident people who said we didn't need a player like Hayne or Folau are starting to become idiots.

I have no idea how people never understood that a great winger does not make a great fullback.

It's difficult for a winger especially because new inside man.
