Improvement For our next game?

I train with the jui jitsu coach who does their wrestling training, let me tell you he is one of the best..
last year they did it very well,never cameras came out to belmore recording techniques at training..
you don't lose your ability in week to week footy, only attitude...
thats the difference..

without damaging runs by the big men, where they draw in 3 or 4 of the defending side to put them down, or an off load, we wont do any good, last year with kassiano graham, Pritchard they all drew multiple defenders into the tackle, they all offloaded, this itself will cause an overlap for our side always putting our side at the advantage of a 3 on 2 situation.

once the big men unloaded last season, the ball was spread wide and fast, gaps were there to be hit.
this season so far our big men have been more or less stopped 1 on 1 which evens up both sides and no gaps or breaks were made, soft runs by Williams and klemmer are doing nothing for the backs

Moses mbye is a work in progress, a good prospect, but a couple seasons from first grade IMO. fades in and out of games and is leaky in defence.

Graham is a steamroller kind of player who is head down charge and has a passing game and rarely gets rolled over. He also plays the ball fast. Theres some momentum up the middle we miss with JG, and Kas is a player any team would miss if hes out. They both had important parts in our attack. Our defence is sound, and better with Ennis in it.

That try Burgess got, Ennis would have been there and low with that tackle and pulled him up short. That try happened minutes after Ennis went off. And they made huge ground from dummy half all night after that which gave them momentum. Ennis' specialty is controlling the ruck and he reduces there metres made from dummy half dramatically.

Very true, at least we will get better as it rolls on, other teams will start to loose players through injuries and SOO, don't think we have played that bad, still quite good defense I think.

Need better last tackle pressure options.watch Melbourne last tackle play and how much pressure they put on fbs and how many repeat sets they get

Just some things I have noticed since our fwds have not be so dominate.

We need a better kicking game from Keating his kicks were bad against souths
T-Rex needs to either put effort in defence or go to the bench
And our wingers seemed to be to far in leaving souths winger wide opened

We lost this game to Souths last year, everyone was shitting bricks cos we lost. Relax guys. You don't win a comp in March. We're building. Might be slower then what we anticipated, but we'll beat these teams in the games that matter!

Its wierd how holden cup teams look more creative than their senior counterparts.

Don't know if its been mentioned but our kick chase has been very lax this year, really miss the days when we used to hammer down the field and smash the returning ball runner.

Ou right side is getting caught out by coming in too early, allowing the opposition to put a kick behind Perrett. And David Klemmer needs to use his shoulder in every tackle, not just throw his arm out.
