Who would you prefer to see in the Blue & White?

Shaun Johnson

Primary Position- Halfback
Secondary Position- Five-eighth
Weight 92 kg
Height 179 cm (5 ft 10 in)
Date of Birth 09/09/1990 (almost 23 years old)
Place of Birth Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand

Cost $$$- between 600,000 - 700,000 ( just a guess guys) this is what I estimate the cost would be to lure Johnson to the Bulldogs. I say this without knowing what his present salary is.

or

Johnathan Thurston

Primary Position- Halfback
Secondary Position- Five-eighth
Weight 82 kg
Height 179 cm (5 ft 10 in)
Date of Birth 25/04/1983 (29 years old)
Eligibility Queensland (Australia)
Place of Birth Brisbane, QLD, Australia
Cost $$$- currently on 700,000 but is set to become a 1 million dollar player

I like Shaun Johnson and I think with the right coach, and some work could become a really special player.

Likewise Pita Godinet (who appears to have disappeared from the world of Rugby League) was looking to be a gun player as well.

Johnson could be a great half but I feel he needs a more experienced half to work with for a while. Also I wouldn't pay him more then 500

Thurston for his experience, knowledge and ability to be a game breaker. He can also act as a mentor for junior halves coming through from either NSW Cup or Holden Cup.

Johnson is a talent and a quality player but is still a work in progress.

Johnson is so meh. I know he's young, but he doesn't strike me as a player who can run game. What is most promising about Johnson is his explosiveness and pace. He's a very exciting player, but he almost plays more like a fullback than a halfback.

Most of Johnson's hype is down to the long range tries and flashy speed that he has. Johnson has age on his side though. To complete our side, I would rather have Thurston.

Given how our team is performing and the roster we have - Thurston hands down.

We would have won the grand final with an experienced half back.

Because of Johnson's age, he would be a long term player for us and a chance of better consistency. Thurstone, while the best, has limited playing years,
