Guys, Phil Gould has only been in the club for this season, there were good things and bad things!! good thing= OAK sponser... Bad things= Lachlon coote leaving, Luke Lewis and more to come just to find some info!! Thanks?
Err since when was Coote leaving? Doesn't he have 2 years left on his contract? Luke Lewis is hardly irreplaceable anyway.

Yeah, Gould has been kidding himself there....

I can see a spoon coming at him this year, a wooden one. They have NO SUPERSTARS... No one.

Old gussy boy... What have you done!

Give Gus a break. It's a hard gig trying to discretely offload Panthers best players to the Rorters. Jennings was the first and there will be more to come.

Roy Masters once said: trying to turn around a Rugby League club is like turning an ocean liner, it takes time.

With the amount of crap Gould has had to fix there, it's little wonder they're still in the state they are in.

They nearly folded, if it wasn't for James Packer. That's how bad it was. A little perspective, please.

The man/troll doesn't do perspective. He makes snap over-reactions based on what happened today or yesterday.

The first thing JT is going to do is put the ball up for a kick and chase, if the kick defence is sloppy under pressure then its all over.

Let me give u perspective. James Packer is a business man and rarely does things for 'love'. The panthers are selling off some of their assets, including poker machine and gaming licences/entitlements. I smell a deal has been done to secure these interests for Gus' mate Jamie.

James has an interest as he claims he will invest and make a staff training facility for his new casino at Bangaroo.

I never suggested it was for love or anything of the sort. Merely pointed out the plight of the club and they're salvaging the thing from the brink. The mismanagement from previous administrations is ridiculous. Gould and Co. have their work cut out for them and it's going to take a significant amount of time to fix their situation. That's all I said.

There is a new development ($90 mill) approved for a new state of the art facilities at panthers INCLUDING. Gaming areas..
i think that's where James packer has his long term assets based with the panthers..

Off course but his team state his interest is for a training facility. (It sounds better to the public)

I mentioned it earlier. There is something sinister going on at the Panthers. It's not about the football club. It's about business and maximising revenues from the gaming. That's why Packer is involved. And he's got the green light from his mate Gould.

They are trying to emulate the success of Canterbury Leagues. Our leagues club was built over many years within internal funds. Penrith are trying to build something with Packers money. So who do u think will get the benefit? I would say Packer and his team, which I wouldn't be surprised if it includes Gould.

This was published hours after I revived the under debated thread.
How was gus getting rid of all good players even needed??
Phil Gould has always claimed he knows all the underlying problems of the league often knocking leaders of the game like Gallop. He also claims to be the brains & knows how to fix them. Judging by Gallop's performance (the game grew) to Gould's performance (destroying the Panthers), it just proves that he is nothing but a Blow Ass!

Even his biased commentary is taking a dive!
