Which current NRL coach has emerged as a secret late contender for the Bulldogs job for next season? And no, it's not Panther Steve Georgallis or Newcastle's Rick Stone. Our mystery man is contracted to his current club for 2012 but is terrified his secret approach to the Bulldogs will come out.

As reported in the Rugby League Week.

Definitely Craig Bellamy.

I can live with him as our new coach

Bennett, Hasler, Cleary, Griffin ? Unlikely.
Lang, Flanagan, Furner ? No thanks.
Smith ? Kearney ? Good god I hope not.

Tim Sheens ? That would be good just for the LOL's.
Neil Henry ? I could live with that !!!

I'm silly enough to put the money on John Cartwright to win and Neil Henry for a place. But who does Jimmy Dymock say it is?

Kearney has been mentioned a few times before. I guess he may have wanted the job here too. And after such a poor season he may want a change but I doubt it. He chose big name players for next season. So logic says it cant be him...

Smith is rumored to be out the door before 2012 comes around with Elliot taking reign. It wouldnt be any big name coach would it???

Smith seems logical, as does Furner.

But hopefully we knock them back and give Jimmy a proper go.

Seriously, HOW GOOD IS THIS WEBSITE!!!
http://dazrl.awardspace.info/2012_mov.htm

The list of coaches off contract past 2012:
Shane Flanagan (Sharks)
Steve Price (Dragons)
Anthony Griffin (Broncos)

All other coaches are signed for 2013 or beyond (Ricky Stuart and Meninga included).

Flanagan = NO THANKS
Price = NOT THAT KEEN
Griffin = HMM Well he's got the Broncos back into shape!

I reckon Anthony Griffin is the man in question.

23 First Grade Games coached
17 Wins
6 Losses
73.9% Win Average

If Jimmy doesn't want top job, Anthony Griffin with Jimmy as Asst Coach would be a great combination I reckon.

Griffin would not leave with the team he has at his disposal at the Broncos, the youth there is unbelievable right now.
