If you guys missed it, this week the Super League granted new licenses and the Celtic Crusaders withdrew their license.

The Widnes Vikings have been promoted.

There was much speculation that the Wakefield Wildcats would lose their license but they seem to have dodged a bullet.

Jarrod Sammitt has signed a one year deal with Bradford since Celtic withdrew their license.

All players contracts at the Crusaders are null and void.

By null and void, will they no longer contest the rest of the season (2011) or with the RFL still foot the bill...

What a mess. Luke Patten summed it up, they've got to get their act together over there in the ESL.

I'm beginning to doubt the viability of the Wildcats as well. They seem to be, like the Vikings and London Broncos were in their last stints in the Super League: on a shoe-string budget. I can see them handing in their license if they maintain their current state of finances.

P.S. I know the Harlequins are a continuation of the Broncos in the Super League.
