Wright signs with Bulldogs By Nathan Ryan
14 September 2010
THE Bulldogs have continued their recruitment for 2011 with the signing of Parramatta Eels centre Jonathan Wright.
The 23-year-old has penned a two season deal with the kennel which will keep him at the club until the end of 2012.
Sportsnewsfirst.com.au contacted coach Kevin Moore for comment but he declined to discuss the acquisition of Wright.
Wright debuted for the Eels in 2009 playing four first grade games that season.
The news comes on the back of Canterbury recruiting Frank Pritchard, Aiden Tolman, Trent Hodkinson and Kris Keating, as well as extending Ryan Tandy's contract for a further two years.
They are also set to be joined by International Greg Eastwood for the next two years.
Whilst the contract has not been signed due to negotiations with the Bulldogs and Leeds regarding his transfer fee, it should be tied up within the next few weeks.
Eastwood won a premiership with Brisbane in 2006 and joined the blue and white last season before honouring a pre-existing deal with UK Super League club Leeds Rhinos.
The Kiwi returns to Australia at the end of the season for the Four Nations tournament where he will pair up with his new teammates Frank Pritchard and Dene Halatau in the National side.
