Matai out minimum 7 weeks
Manly face grim task in NRL finals, starting with St George Illawarra

September 06, 2010 .Manly face finals annihilation by St George Illawarra at WIN Jubilee Oval, with six players in doubt through injury and three charged for high tackles against Canterbury-Bankstown.
"We are busted left, right and centre," Sea Eagles coach Des Hasler said after his side's 30-24 loss to the Bulldogs at Brookvale Oval on Sunday afternoon.
Aside from the loss - their sixth in the past 10 games - Manly had Steve Matai, Jason King and Chris Bailey placed on report, and subsequntly charged, for high tackles.
Matai and King each face a ban even if they take the early guilty plea.
Matai faces a minimum seven-match ban after being charged with a grade-three reckless high tackle on Canterbury hooker Michael Ennis.
He risks a nine-match ban if he contests the charge at the NRL judiciary.
Loading and carryover points threaten King's finals involvement after the prop copped a grade-one careless high tackle charge, the lowest possible grading for a high tackle.
Bailey was given an identical charge, but his clean record means he will be free to face the Dragons with an early plea, which will be of some relief to coach Des Hasler with the Sea Eagles also batting a lengthy injury list.
Anthony Watmough (ankle), Joe Galuvao (groin), Ben Farrar (shoulder), Mall Ballin (concussion), Brent Kite (collarbone) and Jamie Lyon (ankle) are all in doubt for the Dragons game because of injuries.
"We have got a few out and it's going to be a really big challenge for us, but we're confident in the players we have still available," Manly captain Jamie Lyon said.
Asked who would definitely not play, Lyon said: "It could be everyone at the moment, we could have quite a few out.
"We don't know exactly who's in or who's out at the moment, we probably won't know for a few days yet."
Manly will also be without suspended lock Glenn Stewart for the rest of the season.
