It's not (and shouldn't) gonna happen this season IMO. Absolutely, Galvin will be a much better player than Sexton but he hasn't had an offseason in our systems and it shows. Bloody excited to see what he can offer from next season though.
All this arguing about Sexton and Galvin. Two things can be true at the same time. Sexton clearly isn't the long term answer, hence why he was not re-signed. In saying that, Galvin is clearly not the answer this season either. We are overachieving this year despite having a spine that in no way...
Just shows why sexy hasn't been retained IMO. I like the bloke and genuinely want the best for him but he can't ice opportunities and that's the role of a 7, surely
Salmon ain't too bad. Coming back from injury and he's done ok in the past. Despite that, Mann comes back next week and salmon surely gotta go. He's definitely the weakest link. The way Bailey was able to slot in at 6 tonight shows that alone
Totally agree. Tuala actually surprised me re how solid he was at centre but would be a liability at wing due to his pace. Jethro is a natural on the wing and looks ready to go
Jethro had me chubby tonight. I never get the chance to watch lower grades so never really seen him but he is CLEARLY legit. Reeds post game comments about him also got me excited.
That kick and the terrible miss on drinkwater sum up why we aren't keeping him. He was otherwise excellent. He just continues to make silly errors at really bad times and it's pretty obvious that he'll never kick that bad habit. Bailey, on the other hand is just so calm and composed
Man, look, I like Sexy and I keep rooting for him but he clearly just lacks that extra level you need for a premiership winning halfback. He's shown us time and time again. Throw a top level halfback on the right and we are near unbeatable IMO.
