Ha - happened in real life.
We used to call a flatmate ‘flattie’ - which she thought was reflective of residential status, alas it meant something else. She still didn’t pick up on it when we started calling her ‘Pirates Treasure’ (sunken chest) .

On this topic: years ago got to know a bloke casually through a mate and one day saw him getting into his car, number plate: YT-1300. I asked him whose initials they were not being his and it turned out YT-1300 is the model number of the Millennium Falcon. He owned it proudly. Solid nerdery there but at the same time I did offer him a tip of the hat. Well played, Sir.
