The only reason the Eels would even contemplate this is because they hit a home run last year with the Hopgood signing. This is why I like the idea of signing talented prospects regardless of position.

Matterson played prop several times for Parra and was just as effective. You could start Matterson at prop with Curran at lock or start one at lock and play the other off the bench where they both play 50-60 minutes as one will rotate to the front row or even on the edge if there's an injury..

What is obvious is that Gus & Ciraldo realised very early on last year this pack wasn't going to work. We took a flyer on Pele and he could have been anything but unfortunately was a dud.

I feel this is being pushed by Parra. They are desperate for outside backs. Sivo had a mixed season, Waqa can't defend, Russell and Dunster havn't worked out and I am guessing none of their cup/JF players are ready. Most tries are scored these days outwide and they know they don't have the cattle their to match it with the best teams. They probs have 2 years left until Gutho, Moses and RCG/Paulo start dropping off and any potential premiership window is closed.

(Allegedly) The Polynesian boys met up every week at a cafe , anyone could join in .
Some of the leadership group lead by our old mate Mahoney titled this group the "Monkeys"and referred to them as such.

Theres alot of drama because of it and that playing group is beyond fractured.

Faitala - Mariner and Addo - Carr dramas are a by product of that.

Topine , FR and AC are /were well thought of by the majority of the playing group, Reed not so much.
