Yes but we also had a 9 day turnaround between Soufs and the Slimy Eels, so swings and roundabouts.that's the second time that's happened this season.

I reckon he will lolIt could get worse and they move Okonbur to wing.
End of the day we have to be better than the refs and every team is copping bins not just us. Flanno getting binned was a good thing anywayGot no sympathy for Atkins. The amount of shit we've copped this year from the clowns is beyond a joke. Here's some examples from our losses.
Rd1: Manly - Flanno gets sinbinned even though replays showed that Tommy T took a dive. (Atkins was ref, and sin binned him).
Rd4: Warriors - Cummins incorrectly gives a try to SJ even with replays showing that Mahoney was impeded. That same game, the ref, allows dangerous shit to go against us.
R6: Souths- Forward passes go unnoticed, and Reynolds has his nuts squeezed. Sutton penalises us out of the game.
R7: Eels- Ref allows the Eels to get away with jackshit and hands them the game. Video ref says moses impeded yet replays show he dived.
R8: Sharks - Reynolds gets taken out without the ball, Flanno gets impededded, and the sharks score.
Great post. But is this what other teams do as well or is it just CC who swaps his players around on the field? He does it a lot with his wingers and centres I noticedYou make good points. Re Okky, the fact we didn't notice him in particular means he didn't make mistakes for which he is renown. Much better suited as a forward so he doesn't have to catch a high ball, rather than a winger.
We are also seeing an evolution in the game, in the use of more utility type players. From the bench, Okky can bring it out of yardage, like a winger, and make tackles in the middle as a middle forward. Many players are showing adaptability, to be used however a team needs them. Many players also seem to be roving around. Nu Brown is a ball playing running lock, or a hooker, whatever is needed, and Grub moved into lock yesterday when KO came on.
Waddell has been reliable in most games, he's found a home on that RHS, but his strength is probably best as a middle, as when Kikks is back, Kikks moves to LHS, moving Preston to right edge.
At half time. Then they lose 32-30raiders by 30!!
Don't you get shitty when people call you the assman?PS my nick name on here is The Assman, feel free to use it lol
Skelton has a good passing game (when not crashing straight through people) including a nice flick pass. Can see him busting a tackle and slipping a ball to Avo to streak away for a try or twoI think we need to use Avo as we have lately by switching between centre and wing. Problem is who do we now have that has the passing skills and confidence to give Avo those long passes or passes that hit the mark like Burns has been?
Who you mentioned are probably our only options in those positions but I would like to see 'setup plays' where maybe Burton can quickly shift into the centres and provide those long passes or kicks over the top (like he has done with JAC) to allow Avo to do his thing. Avo will burn Rapana if given the right balls. Burton is the man to do it.
For disclosure, the NRL sets the guidelines for the draw, they also allocate specific grounds, long term rivalry games, local derbies, individual clubs requests, designated rounds (Indigenous, Magic, etc), SOO and Internationals timing, starting and ending dates, etc etc. Plus the FTA stations determine start and finish times of their allocated games and then Foxtel offers up their preferences. By the time all that is all input the actual draw doesn't have a lot of choices left for the Canadians (Optimal Planning Solutions) to utilise their algorithms.EXCEPT….The NRL doesn’t do the draw.
So, no, no agenda (or proof thereof) .
Who doesn’t like ass’s lolDon't you get shitty when people call you the assman?
Yes, well aware, I posted the reality of creating the draw article long ago. Of course the NRL has significant input, just as the NFL, MLB etc do that also work with OPS. There’s no way the Canadians could know local realities of joint stadium tenancies or arrangements with VenuesLive (ie: why the Dogs played 4 home games at CommBank in ‘21/‘22 but none in ‘23), or specific season impacting realities such as this years FIFA Women’s World Cup, or broadcaster requirements (who ultimately pay the players) and many other inputs and that makes my point even more relevant: it is such a complex exercise that there is no way the claims by some of alleged ‘NRL hatred towards and desire to disadvantage the Bulldogs’ can be true. And there’s no evidence to support it, despite TK’s army of legal experts .For disclosure, the NRL sets the guidelines for the draw, they also allocate specific grounds, long term rivalry games, local derbies, individual clubs requests, designated rounds (Indigenous, Magic, etc), SOO and Internationals timing, starting and ending dates, etc etc. Plus the FTA stations determine start and finish times of their allocated games and then Foxtel offers up their preferences. Correct the "NRL doesn't do the draw", but they have huge amount of input into it, to such an extent that the Canadians reckon it's the most complex draw that they do (compared to MLB previously, NFL, Soccer in France, Scotland and the USA etc). That gives some indication as to how much influence the NRL has on the draw.
My money is that CC picks Okunbour for the wing spot due to burns injury. That is the one thing that kills me with CiraldoWIth Burns out does Skelton finally get his chance?
Can mods ban this flog pleaseraiders by 30!!
I think Okonbur is quiet valuable from the bench given that he can cover for an outside back that suffers a game ending injury. He is also going ok during his time in the middle. My money is that CC picks Okunbour for the wing spot due to burns injury. That is the one thing that kills me with Ciraldo
Already ruined a gf with the Raiders being confused as fuck on the reversal of an on field call and they paid the price during the confusion. Ofcourse the Roosters were the beneficiary decisions like that barely swing the way of the underdogThis shit.
So over that! Ffs like nrl is so incompetent! They have all the technology and a ref literally watching all angles and they still manage to dud teams, they’re gonna ruin a gf soon just like the 6 again tackle that year it’s a joke how stupid the ***** can be !
It will be interesting the team selection today.I think Okonbur is quiet valuable from the bench given that he can cover for an outside back that suffers a game ending injury. He is also going ok during his time in the middle.
We got ripped apart in the 2 games when JAC and Kiraz went down early. Okonbur was suspended in the Souths game and then he was picked on the wing for the Parra game so on both occasions we had no cover for outside backs on the bench and the points flowed.
I hope we don't rush Kiraz back. Next week is fine we can beat an ordinary Raiders side anywayThe latest injury update on the dogs website says Kiraz is back into full team training. I'm guessing he's back for this week. Max King also no longer on the injury list so he could also be back.
Insteresting to see the estimated rounds to return from injury for each player has been removed.
It's not that good of a draw system.
