I don't even know if we should even put KO in tbh. The way we are reffed would absolutely kill his confidence. There is so much shit an entire team can take. The NRL refs need just grow the fuck up and ref us probably and not on sheer hate for us.

"Of greater concern is when Gould passes judgment on live investigations, as he did after the Good Friday game when Bulldogs back-rower Jacob Preston was sin-binned and placed on report for an alleged hip-drop tackle. The NRL declined to comment."

Of course "the NRL declined to comment", Gould was farkin spot on as he often is and the MRC confirmed that he was correct. Shouldn't have even been a penalty, definitely not 10 minutes in the bin and absolutely not reportable as the MRC ruled.

Here’s a tip, instead of censoring Gould, why not instead take on board what he’s saying and then evaluate it, if it’s warranted, do something about it, if it’s not, come out and discredit what he’s saying, show where he’s wrong.

The biggest issue in the game is still the way it’s refereed, it’s so bad that it’s turning viewers and fans away and a lot of the ones who are hanging in there are starting to mention words like corruption, unless you’re a fan of the “top clubs that is” …

Personally I don’t watch every game, maybe a couple of the bigger games and of cause I watch our teams …. the difference in the way they ref the top teams as opposed to the bottom teams is obvious, similar to how they change refereeing for SOO ..

First game of the season, every teams wanting to get off to a good start, we’re in a 6 all battle under very tough conditions, and one of our players is sent to the bin for nothing more than touching a playing … and no one’s allowed to call anyone out on that s*** … wtf ..

Image1681693244.693573.jpg

Our players are playing their guts out and in front, and this laughable obstruction is called a try, they disallow that every week, that call cost us 2 valuable points … everyone’s saying good on the referees for finally using common sense there, ok where was this f****** common sense yesterday when they disallowed our try calling it obstruction, that Eels player had zero chance of ever stopping that try, “where’s the common sense in our favour” and no one’s allowed to say anything about this shit ?

Image1681693268.651145.jpg

Ok shut the f***up move onto the next game, we’ve had a bad first half and mounting a strong come back in the second, and Preston gets sent to the bin for this ridiculous hip drop call ruining any chances we had, no charge to answer for which is an admission they got it wrong, but hey stfu, say nothing again keep coping our atrocious refereeing, but don’t you say anything about it ..

Image1681693292.906158.jpg

Yesterdays game the Dogs we’re pinged for every little infringement, not one 50/50 call went their way, they were beyond micro ref’ed .. meanwhile infringements we were being pinged for, the Eels were getting away with, when below where their markers ever straight …. since when is a crusher tackle, accidental or not, not penalised ?

Image1681693309.976770.jpg

These stats below are beyond ridiculous …

The biggest blight on the game is the referees being mic’ed up, they’re not refereeing the game, the voices in their ears are .. upstairs are refereeing the game through the mic’s and the on field ref is just their robot .. that tells me the Nrl are controlling games instead of refereeing them and thats having a baring on the outcome of each game ...

I for one am glad we have a GM that’s not a sheep like the rest of them … also I’m sure there’s thousands of pieces of evidence that proves Gould doesn’t just call out the crap we cop, he calls out the crap that happens in every club, and so he should, and so should more people, if everyone spoke up maybe the Nrlol would finally do something about it … get the mic’s of their heads, fix the refereeing, they won’t get called out as much, more people will apply for refereeing jobs … or maybe they like it the way it is, if that’s the case, why do they ???

Frustration is growing among club land over the NRL’s apparent reluctance to censor Canterbury Bulldogs general manager and Channel Nine commentator Phil Gould for his comments on key issues within the game.
As someone who sits alongside Gould on 100% Footy, his opinions are often polarising. It makes for excellent television. He provides Nine, the publisher of this masthead, plenty of content and drives a lot of traffic to the network whether you agree or disagree with his views.
However, there are some clubs complaining about perceived double standards from the NRL, who hold the coaches to account over their comments on a weekly basis.
Phil Gould implored Joseph Suaalii to leave the NRL immediately after signing a multimillion-dollar contract to switch codes at the end of next year.

There are some clubs who want Gould and the Bulldogs to face breach notices for some of the things he says both in the media and on social media. Gould did not respond to requests for comment.

The NRL is aware of the angst among the clubs and pressure is mounting on NRL chief executive Andrew Abdo and ARLC chairman Peter V’landys to intervene.
They have heard the whispers from clubs who believe head office is too afraid of Gould, one of the most influential men in the sport, to sanction him.
Several complaints have been made. Rival clubs have been recording the comments, and screenshotting social media posts with the aim of presenting it to the NRL if they try to fine one of their coaches for comments they deem inappropriate.

Gus Gould has responded to Trent Robinson's comments, telling Gus to 'relax' and claiming Gus of being 'fearful'
There are several conflicts of interest in the media. The Melbourne Storm last year complained about accredited player agent Braith Anasta, who they believed was inflating the price of his client Cameron Munster through comments and opinions aired on Fox Sports’ NRL 360.

NRL rules prohibit club employees from publicly criticising registered officials within the game. That doesn’t appear to be of concern to the NRL.
Of greater concern is when Gould passes judgment on live investigations, as he did after the Good Friday game when Bulldogs back-rower Jacob Preston was sin-binned and placed on report for an alleged hip-drop tackle. The NRL declined to comment.
The NRL has to decide if this is a fight worth picking. When a war of words erupted between Gould and Roosters coach Trent Robinson a few weeks ago over Joseph Suaalii’s place in the game, the Bulldogs supremo declared “I fear no one” on his Six Tackles with Gus podcast. His comments of late seem to back that up.
Damn, and I was hoping Gus would come out tonight on 100% Footy and make the following statement -

CHRIS BUTLER NOW ENTERS THE PIG PEN WITH HIS FELLOW SWINE GERRARD SUTTON as the biggest swine's that Referee with Blatant Bias against the Bulldogs every single time they officiate them.

Not sure that will happen now, but I can't wait to see Gus sit along side Chammas on the show now.

Souths coach should have been censured for his comments.

Don't forget Josh Reynolds having his nuts grabbed by George Burgess and no penalty.

There are others that should actually be censored well before Gus gets censored and tbh I think gus is talking about these issues as normally has and not without bulldogs bias .

let’s see what’s worse than Gould
- Joey johns actively trying to get tigers release brooks to go to Newcastle
- the daily Munster contract discussion on 360
- Ennis blowing up smoke for whatever team he is working at the time

fact is media influences a lot of what occurs within the game , how new rules are implemented and old rules interpreted. Commentators during the game influence how many see and interpret how the game was played and what impact each situation caused .the worst part is most of the commentators don’t know the rules .

Nice one mate! If you can do it, surely, someone at bulldogs HQ can do something similar and show the bias? Fkn unbelievable the decisions we cop every week.

At least he’s speaking up, no one has done that for us for years. Always tip toed around the truth. And these fucks need to be held accountable for all the utter crap they dish to this club. I’m getting sick of negative articles about us that’s for damn sure. This game is a shadow of what it was. It’s absolutely the NRLOL an clowns as per usual are running the show!!!!

I didn't mention what's working and what's not but i could. Like the fact he's left gaping holes in the current roster even excluding injuries. Who knows how much better he might be if he was fully focused on the job he's getting paid elite money for?
You don't really understand the game at all if you think the current roster is Gus doing. Most contracts were signed before Gus got here and inherited this shit show . He has in conjunction with the coaches made a few astute signings to improve the roster for the short term. But there are somethings that no one can control during his tenure . There is now have a 17th team in the mix that came along just when Gould was appointed. Massive competition for signings . They haven't been able to attract Marquee men even with a full salary cap and the promise of a better lifestyle
Up North and probably the greatest coach of all time. So not sure what you actually expected Gus to do about first grade. In terms the juniors were his main impact was to be focused you can already see the improvements. Killing it in all grades, despite our heavy injury toll in first grade. Maybe you needed to consider this matter a little further in depth before mouthing off .

Here’s where it really does your head in, if Reynolds grabs Burgess’s nuts, does it miraculously all of a sudden get spotted and he gets 10 in the bin or worse, sent off ? …
Would have been tricked up by DT, Fox etc as the dirtiest act theyve ever seen on a football field with a call for a 10 week suspension.

Very well said ..

I sometimes get the impression that people don’t understand just how broken our club was and what a mess it was in, and those who were trying to fix it pre Gus were only adding to the whole f*** up with over priced bad signings, that shit takes a while to reverse.

Something we might all need to consider, the clubs next premierships may not come from what Gus & Co. are building in first grade …. they may come from what they’re building underneath 1st grade ..
